Substitute for Hardcore Extreme...

I do not own Hardcore Extreme and the rotation I am doing this month calls for a "Harcore Extreme workout of your choice" several times. For all of you who do own it, what can I possibly substitute for any of the workouts on that DVD?

Thanks,

Katie

you could easily do IM3 and maybe tack on the KM blast challenge if you have that disc. Heart attack in a DVD case!! WHEE! You could also do the Gauntlet to simulate HCE #1.

Hi Debbie. Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, IMAX 3 is scheduled for tomorrow and HCE is scheduled for Saturday and I don't have KM or Gauntlet. Are the HCE's cardio plus weight work?

Katie

HCE # 3 is IMax 3 intervals 5-7, KM Blasts 1-5, IMax 3 intervals 8-10, KM Blasts 6-10 and the leg conditioning drills. It's one of the tougher workouts I've ever done. But, like Debbie says - try one of the Terminators instead.

Unfotunately, I don't have the Terminator DVD either. Would any of the bonus combos from the Body Blast or Intensity Series DVD's work? I could do the same workout as the Interval Circuit on the HCE DVD, but I would have to switch back and forth from the two DVD's and I'm afraid that will bring my heart rate down too much in between sets.

Katie

Katie,

HC#1 is a circuit workout of intense cardio and weights. #2 and #3 are very intense interval cardio workouts, although #3 has the leg conditioning drills from KM tacked on at the end. For #2 and #3, just sub a very intense 70 minute cardio workout.

For HCE#1: SB/SJP premix #5 - Step, Hi/Lo & Weights Circuit (85mins); OR SB/SJP premix #6 - Step & Weights Circuit premix (81mins)

For HCE#2: Step Blast (or a 60 min cardio workout that you find rather intense, preferably with some intervals in it), then tack on Boot Camp cardio premix; OR just do MIC.

For HC#3: Cardio & Weights warm up; step combos 1 & 2; IMAX2 blast-only intervals 1-5; CW step combos 3 & 4; IMAX2 blast-only intervals 6-10; floor work from either PLB, GS Legs, or LG.

Hope this helps!
