STS fit chicks Sunday 02/22

Good morning/afternoon (depending on what coast you live on!)

Ok, I'm getting worried about our check-in, if I am the first person to post. ;)

Today was disc 10, and it was a killer, this was the first disc where my listed weights were too heavy for about 5 of the exercises. At the end, Cathe says congrats on finishing Meso1, must have been an oversight, but I did have to double check that I did the right disc today. :)

I did stability ball abs too, that's just humorous, I can't do pikes at all, and thank goodness no one was around to see me wobbling and falling off the ball all over the place!

I lost a pound this week too, which was very exciting for me, at least the scale budged. I'll take my 1 month measurements next Sunday and post my meso1 results then.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hello,

Dela, congrats on the scale movement! I did disc 10 yesterday and agree that it was very tough. I thought that perhaps I was just having a "low energy" day, but I was wiped out by the end. I had to lower my weights on the standing overhead press drop sets at the end... my arms and shoulders were not cooperating!

This morning was a 4 mile run. I will also do disc 12 legs later today. I plan to wrap up meso1 by Wednesday so that my rest week coincides with upcoming travel.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Michelle

Morning. Today is a "rest day" but I have a hard time w/ that concept. I am going to go do 30 or 45 mins on the elliptical. I was looking at my wts for next week, they are looking a little scary. Meso 2 is looking interesting. Its going to be tough to wait out that week. I lost only 1/2 lb this week, but I am a total of 5 1/2 since starting STS and its been 3 weeks, so that is good progress and I am hoping things will keep moving along. I can def see changes in my UB, and my thighs looks slimmer to me and so do my calves, oddly enough. It seems like everything is starting to suck up and in. This is good!!! And I have 3 vertical lines, left, middle, and right, and 1 horizontal line across my abs, if I stand just right and the light hits right:p:D;) But hey, I'll take it. Off to play on the elliptical a bit. Or as DH calls it "the death machine"

Good afternoon everyone. Today was a rest day for me.

Dela that is great you lost weight, good for you.

Nan I am a little scared for next week weight increment. Maybe we will surprise ourselves and be stronger. I really am enjoying STS because every week I feel like I am pushing myself even harder.

Michelle have fun with disk 12 legs later.

Thanks Michelle and Barbara!

Oh, and Michelle those shoulder presses at the end, I barely got through 9 on the first set with my heavy weight, then dropped the weight, could barely get 7 out, then had to drop waay down and still only got 8 on the last set. I had thought the same thing too! I thought maybe because it was morning I wasn't as energized for disc 10, but I'm thinking 10 is just a tough workout. I again had issues finishing up the bicep 21's. And I went a pound heavier than my card said to do on the side leaning lateral raises, and could only get 12 out of the 15 done for each side.

Nan, 5.5, that's awesome! Congrats! I'm at a total of 3 so far, but I am feeling firmer and a bit less flabby. I had 2.5 the first week, then a .5 gain, so I was feeling a bit upset by it, but at least I showed the 1 pound loss this week, I'm very resistant to weight loss, so I'm hoping I can continue a 1 pound/week average.
