STS Equipment

Okay - so obviously, I NEED to get the STS system on sale. I have wanted this for a while, and the price is totally right! :)

Anyway, what is the absolute minimum equipment you need for it? I have a stability ball, regular step w/ 3 risers each side, dumbbells (3 lb, 5 lb, 10 lb) and resistance bands.

Money is an issue - especially since I'm dishing out for the program. I'm planning on getting another set of dumbbells but I'm not sure what size I should get. Thoughts? Any other must have equipment?

Thanks!

It depends on your fitness level and strength, but if I were to guess...a heavier set if dumbbells. Have you done the 1RM testing? That could give you a ballpark idea what you may needed for weight.
good luck and you will love STS!

What type of dumbbells do you own? Are they metal or rubber coated?

I think you will need at the very least a set of 15's and some weighted gloves or pace weights or plate mates (if you have metal dumbbells).

Back & leg exercises take heavier weights so you will eventually need more weights.

I got a cheap set of adjustable dumbbells from Walmart because my heaviest set was 20#. I can add the plates to my barbell as well, since my Troy only goes up to 55# with the plates that came with it. Weighted gloves are very good for the incremental increases that you'll have with STS, and a weighted vest gives a nice boost for legs. Of course, all this stuff costs money. You can still benefit from the program until you build up your equipment. Work hard, get some good results and then submit your STS Success story.... if you're highlighted, then you'll get a nice gift certificate which you can use for the vest and gloves. That's how I got mine and I love them.
