STS 3.5 SUMMER LADIES:9/6-9/12

howdy all, well i started my week today w/ disc32, plyo legs. this week is gonna be really hard. wk. 3 meso 3. 90% of 1rm. i am already scared. the weights look pretty daunting to me. hope i can do it. i really want to lose a few lbs. after STS. can't seem to keep my cardio up enough while i'm doin it. so, gonna try and find a rotaiton that will help me get some of this around my middle off. been looking thru cathe's. any suggestions? well, we are watching an old movie on TCM, so gonna go for now.
 
Hey Cathy, we have been cleaning up after the roofers. WHEW! Now all we have left to do is wait on the lazy gutter guy. He has really been milking this job! He is supposed to finish up on Tuesday. I will be glad to have everything done and so will Bob. We have been working out everyday and today is cardio and abs. I think I should put all the cleanup activities in the workout manager too! Our dumpster is heaping! Sorry to be out of pocket so long but such is life, eh? Well, we are on week 3. How are you feeling? We are both tired, but that is to be expected with all that has been going on. I am happy to be going back to work tomorrow! :) Talk to you tomorrow! :)
 
i feel horrible. i am sick to my stomach. yuck, but i am on to disc 31. wow, dont' know if i can do these wts. we'll see. i am really burned out right now. i will be glad to finish. i have lost my focus. i still haven't updated my ticker. been soooo busy. glad ya'll are gettin' your house in order. it is hard to do stuff w/people all over. and i know how messy contractors are, well , sub-contractors. i used to clean new houses and it is unbelievable the mess they make and they don't even care if they destroy other parts of the house in the process. very difficult to clean up after.
well, better get going before i decide to take a nap rather than workout. LOL!
 
woo hoo!!! disc 31 done. here are my weights:

flat bench 54 (56)
bb row 63 (66)
flat flys 25
1 arm row 35
incline bench pr. 52
deads 63 (66)
incline flys 23
horiz. row 30

however, i'm a bit dissappointed cuz i went down in the bench press bb row, deads. not sure why, but that is what was on my workout manager. should have looked at the printout of the first time and gone w/those wts. the numbers in the parenthesis' are my first time around. but, i can feel it, so it was a good workout.
 
Hey chickie! Well, DH and I have not worked out yet...we have chest and back tonight too! I think you should be proud! I cannot believe you lifted so much weight while feeling so yucky! You rock!
Yesterday, 4DS low impact step had me sweating so BAD! I don't know why cardio makes me sweat so bad, maybe it is the summer months more than the actual workout. I KNOW that I will never attend a road trip because I look like Medusa after working out! I would be SO embarrassed.

Good Wednesday morning! DH and I had a GREAT workout last night. We both felt great and lifted our hardest. We did Chest and Back and rocked it! Here is what I lifted:
flat bench 70
bb row 95
flat flys 30
1 arm row 55
incline bench pr. 70
deads 95
incline flys 30
horiz. row 55
These are my all time bests and I am UBER proud of myself. I had good form and could have done more than the 6 reps. I am reminded of the last time we did Meso 3 and the feeling of accomplishment.
Tonight is cardio and abs and it will be nice to do something other than weights. I am actually dreading Plyo Legs on Thursday because it is so dang hard! :) We have not been putting the Insanity workouts in as much as we would like because like Plyo Legs they are extreme. I am definitely NOT a lover of the cardio in summer...too much sweating! :) Have a great day!
 
Good morning! Well, we finished our cardio and abs last night and we are on to Plyo Legs tonight. Not much is new here. The finish work is still ongoing at the house. The guy who is installing the facia and gutters is taking his sweet time. UGH
Better scoot! Take it easy and happy workout!
 
WHOA!!!! you lift really heavy. i am so impressed!!!!!

Praise the LORD!!!! RAIN! finally. we got a bunch today. the creek is runnin' like crazy. what a beautiful site. only 73 today. a blessed relief, for sure!!!!

can't remember when i checked in last. grandkids were here yesterday. we rode for awhile, played in the rain. kids rode bikes thru the puddles. so fun. they are so adorable!

tues--did ch & back disc 31 (think i posted that)
wed--no workout
today- did plyo legs (disc 32) for the 2nd time this week. tomorrow or sat. is disc 33. then next week is the end.

ya'll have a beautiful weekend if i don't get back here for a bit.

Well, we did plyo legs last night. I can't say it is our favorite workout but it is finished. What did you think of the 1 legged squat thrusts? I didn't complete all of them...but I gave them my best shot! :)
We are off today and then we have cardio on Saturday with tri/bi/shoulders on Sunday. I can't believe we only have ONE MORE WEEK! I will definitely take the rest week this time around. :)
Have a wonderful weekend! We still have contractors at the house this weekend, so I probably won't be on much. Today I am leaving work early for a hair and nail appointment. It has been six months! :)
