STS 3.5 SUMMER LADIES:6/21-6/27

melissa, i will trade you the 84 for the 100. :) and i'll take the rain , too, therese. the water in the pool was 92. it was a bit warm. but, we had fun. and, today , that was the actual temperature. but, it also said "feels like 100", so i guess there was not much humidity, which , we havent' had any rain, so it hasn't been real humid this summer. one reason it is getting so hot. it can be VERY humid down here. so, what is worse, the humidity or the intense heat? actually, i think the humidity is. when it is 97 and 90% humidity, it is quite miserable.

well, cardio tomorrow, will probably do another firm w/the tall box work. love tall box work, well, except leg press, hate leg press!

therese, are you going to the cathe thing in NYC tomorrow? what fun that would be to meet her.

Morning Cathy and Melissa....no I wish I was going to NYC to meet Cathe :confused: but tomorrow my DD has a softball game that I don't want to miss. I hope to one day go to her gym and meet them maybe with the other Tri-States. Her gym is about 3 1/2 hours from my house so doable if I can get my schedule to work.

Hey Kids! Happy Thursday to you! Well my vaca from work starts tomorrow! YEEHAW!
I see swimming and playing outside in my future for sure!
Well last night we were right back on track and Disc 5 is done. I had trouble with some of the pullups and some of the pushups. Oh well...I will get plenty of practice, eh?

Tonight is MIC...I can honestly say I do not enjoy it! Friday is our off day (every week) and I like that!

hi guys, well, i did ULTIMATE CALORIE BLAST (the firm) this am. used 8" box, and 2# weight gloves. 45min. i was sweatin' like CRAZY!!! how much more intense would you think it makes the workout w/the weight glove? think i'm gonna do abs "weights & plates", well actually, think i'll do partner abs, cuz my neice is here and can do it w/me.

Hey chickie! I am still at work, clock watching. We are supposed to do MIC tonight and I am beginning to dread it...it bores me to death. Don't get me wrong...it is very hard but boring. :) As for the weighted gloves, you bet it will be more intense. I have only used them for kickbox workouts. I have never done any FIRM workouts (I know I must have just fallen off the turnip truck today), so I cannot comment. Have fun with partner abs...that workout is still my fave for abs! :) Later tater
 
hey melissa, yeah, i made the mistake of using the weight gloves for one of cathe's kickbox once. ugggg! i was about to die.

well, i started w/the firm about 20 yrs. ago. and i do like their workouts, most are not as intense as cathe, well LOL, what is? but, this one was pretty intense today, using the 8" box and gloves :). i was breathing and sweatin'!!! i like the firm cuz they use a lot of 4-limb. low impact cardio w/lite weights. and alot of box, not just step, but tall box climb, also. i love tall box work, well, except for leg press. hate leg press.

did you post that you are on vacation tomorrow? where ya going. hey, come on down here and enjoy the heat and drought w/us. :) why anyone comes to san antonio for vacation is waaayyyyy beyond me. i don't even go to san antonio, and i live 30m from there. hate the city.

so, have fun tonite. will do my last total body combination w/4,5,6 on saturday. think i will go back to doing one at a time next week.

Hey chickie...yep I will be vacationing from work tomorrow through next week. :) I will still be working out. I am not going anywhere exotic just hanging at home with the furry babies. :) I will still be checkin with ya for me and DH. :) I hope you have fun tonight too! Later chickie
 
OUCHIE, OUCHIE!!!!! i did my first HIIT treadmill run. i am in pain. did 25m and that includes w/u and c/d. i thought i was gonna pass out. it took me about 20m to recover when i was done, and i was dizzy.
now my feet are killing me. don't know if i can do that very often.
ok, weekend coming up, what ya'll doing? i'm gonna try to stay cool, which may not work.i have to work at the vet clinic and it is gonna be HOT!!!!!! it got up to 103 yesterday.:(
it is only 98 right now, so that is better than 103. we need RAIN, RAIN , RAIN!!!!!!

ok, i am really hurtin from that HIIT run yesterday. i think i am too old for that. too hard! maybe i did it wrong or went to hard. but my legs and feet are rebelling.

finsihed discs 4,5,6 this morning. and , i am looking at dvd called "total workout in ten" by amy dixon. it is from women's healthe. i kinda like it. 4 10m segments:

cardio-very kickboxy
lower body
upper body
balance/flexibility

only uses 3# wts, though, so not very tough. but good for not so hard days

everyone having a nice weekend?
