:)
how do u get such strong abs as cathe? i have been doing her tapes for years. i am fit except for strong abs. i noticed it mostly in bootcamp. is it mostly from kickboxing? i would like to look like her before summer starts.

Looking like Cathe before summer starts might be a rather ambitious goal, but you can improve your abs. I've noticed a definite improvement in my abs since incorporating core work (planks, etc.). Also, doing ab curls while lying over a stability ball is an excellent way to build core strength (this type of ab exercise has been written up lately in several fitness magazines as being the best way to train abs because it teaches them to be strong not just from a flat position, but in a bigger range of motion--from the position where you are leaning back over the ball).

does Ab Hits have core work? if so, should i buy it? i often do the ctx, circuit max, bootcamp, and cardio kicks for core work. i am addicted to cathes tapes.

Ab Hits DVD does indeed have core work, including the CTX Kickbox ab routine, the CTX Power Circuit ab routine, the Slow and Heavy plank and superman routine, the Power Hour ab routine (I'm not sure if the VHS version has Power Hour). It also has the Slow and Heavy traditional abs routine, which incorporates even more long-lever work.

And yes you should get it; get the DVD if you have the equipment, but the VHS version is good as well.

I was wondering, do you still have to work the abs hard if you still have that fat layer covering them. I am thinking you still need to because that will help eat away the fat just like any other muscle. Did I just answer my own question.....heheh

Hi - Using Cathe's ab workouts (Ab Hits or each individual ab routine on its original tape) has given me great abs (I'd have a six pack if I starved myself to leanness but that ain't gonna happen, as I like food too much!!). I just got Kari Anderson's Curl---did it once---and it is an awesome workout. Works core, back, and abs. 20+ minutes of hard work. I'm going to use it in rotation with Ab Hits. You might consider it to give you some variety. suzanne
