Still crippled...

SRP

Sigh. It's been 8 days, and I still can't exercise. I'm about to go nuts. I severely pulled a calf muscle last Thursday while on vacation in Canada. It was feeling better yesterday - more stiff than sore - so I tried doing Pyramid Lower Body (up) today. Bad move. I'm hobbling around again, just like I did on the first day. Dumb, dumb, dumb. And darn it, I just got Terminator on Monday. All I can do is watch it and dream.

Aaww, Shannon ~

That totally stinks. Maybe you could stick w/ some upper body and ab work while your calf heals. Injuries are awful...give yourself time to heal.

Take care ~

Hi, Kim -
Yeah, it does stink, and I'm getting very impatient. Lucky for me I'm not seriously injured!!!:) I'm doing the arms and abs - and also found out that pikes and roll ins use quite a bit of the calf muscle. Ouch. I miss my aerobics. I'm going to try a bicycle tomorrow, even though I despise riding bikes. Desperation makes us do strange things....

Oh Shannon - I'm sorry. That is the worst. I'm dealing with a slight back muscle pull and have to be very careful about what I do and THAT's driving me nuts - I cannot imagine not being able to do anything. I'll be thinking of you, wishing for a speedy recovery.

Oh I feel your pain. It sucks to not be able to workout like you want to. I'm pregnant and one of those women who is short waisted and carries it all out front. I get really big. As a result, my back gets really tweaky and I have to use the stupid stationary bike more than I'd like. And a low step when I do use it and no impact and no intricate choreography...etc, etc.

I wistfully watch all the workouts I'll be able to do post partum to keep me somewhat inspired while I bike, since I find the bike so boring.

I hope you heal quickly.

Maggie:)
