Step vs. Floor Work

Hi Cathe! I've seen it suggested that doing step workouts only is not as effective as combining step and floor workouts. Is this because there is different emphasis on different muscle groups? Just curious - I love step and could do it every day!!!

Hi Liz! Anytime you can expose your muscles to new and/or different ways to move and contract, you will get more out of your program. The body likes to adapt to programs and stick within a comfort zone. Adding new elements and dimension will encourage new responses and continued results. Just make sure you are training effectively and in your working zone. Take Care!
