Step Video

I just bought your step and step video and used it for the first time today. I found it difficult to follow because everything was done so fast. Do you have an instruction book with diagrams that could help me get the hang of the routine?

Thank you,

Michele

Not Cathe but...

Hi Michele,

Don't get discouraged. Pretty much all of us started where you are. I still have to rewind & rewind to get the choreography Cathe throws at us in her tapes. It feels like a great accomplishment when I finally get it. Anyway to answer your question, Cathe does not have an instruction book but if you go to www.fitnessvideofanatics.com & click on resources you will find a "step directory" that lists directions for a lot of step moves. Unfortunately they are not all there but you can learn a lot from them.

A suggestion that someone else gave me--take the videos one "bite" at a time. Watch what Cathe does, stop the tape & try it in slow motion. Then rewind, try it with Cathe. Keep doing this until you get the hang of it. I've done this with Rhythmic Step & it took me a month to learn it! OK, I'm a real spaz but I finally got it.

Good luck!

I know just what you mean! I had a terrible time following Cathe. I finally gave up my big plans to start with the best--our Cathe--started slow--with Gilad, Kathy Smith, Gin Miller--so that my body could learn the basic moves. After that, it gets a lot easier. It will probably take you several viewings to get a Cathe step tape down pat, but learning the moves with the basic tapes first will make it seem possible--and they're a blast when you finally conquer them!

Good luck

I would suggest (as I have done), getting some older Cathe step tapes, such as Wedding Video, Mega Step Blast, Step Heat, and I just got Step Max too.

I have All Step too, and haven't even looked again at it until I feel more comfy with these older tapes. They break down the moves and she uses alot of the moves over & over and adds onto them.

I am picking it up pretty well focusing on these. Don't get me wrong, they are not easy intensity, just easier moves!

I haven't rec'd Step Heat either, but I'm on a Cathe step tape buying binge. I have also ordered Power Max & Step Works. They're a blast!
