Steady state cardio ideas

I have got to mix it up a bit. I need some steady-state cardio ideas. The biggest issue is that I can't run and must be at home in my workout room.

So far I've come up with adding in some spinning (putting my road bike on the trainer).

I like the idea of zumba-like cardio but am not impressed with zumba workouts (past threads that have pointed out issues (cueing, etc). What else/who else might there be?

Any input is appreciated!

When I want steady state cardio, I usually reach for my Amy Bento step workouts. They have great music and are just plain fun. If you don't have any of hers, she can be hard to catch on to because she doesn't break down her routines very well, but that's what I like about them because I can do them over and over without getting bored. I've bought all of my Amy Bento dvd's from deepdiscount.com. Super cheap with free shipping. Good luck finding something you like.

I sometimes do kick box or boxing routines for steady state cardio. There a many good kickbox workouts. You may want to try one of Illaria's workouts. If you want to mix it up and really do something different and very tough ( boxing jump rope) then I would recommend Michael Olajide's AeroJump.

I like Cathe's MMA Boxing disc, I double up on the drills half of the workout to make a 50 min. indoor low impact steady state workout (although its on my lower end of my heart rate.)

There are some good cycling DVDs out there, I don't have any myself but I have seen them on CollageVideo.com

What about jump rope? Thats really intense and can be done without the rope. There are DVDs or you can design your own workout with a variety of intervals (lunges, push ups, jacks, jump rope moves) and just wear an ipod.
