Hi Cathe,
I wrote you last year asking about your back and what your problem was, cause I was having back problems. Anyway I had two back operations, one in July 99 and one in Oct 99. I did not have a fusion, they went in and shaved two of my disk. Still painful. Okay, I went to physcial therapy in Oct to Jan. My surgeon did not want me to do anything but stretching and tens machine. In feb. of this year he told me I could start working out again. But no more high impact or squats.
My husband and I started to do a light weight work out last week, and I am wondering if there are any upper body weight work that you think I should avoid. Is there any thing that is not good for the lower back? Also I am starting walking, I plan on walking 5 days a week(for 30 to 40 min) and lifting with my husband 3 nights a week. Do you think I will get burnt-out to quickly? I have not started over again in years and I do not want to get tried of it and quit.
I hate to say it but I gave all my tapes away to my sister.(who is enjoying them) After my doctor told me I needed a 2nd surgery I did not want to take any more chances. Maybe I will be able to do them again someday, but I rather not chance it.
I also wanted to say congrats to you, hubby and Eric.I know its kinda late but I have been busy.
Anyway if you can answer or try to answer my questions I'd apprecitate it. Thanks Judy R.
