Star magazine stab at fit women

I was getting my hair done last night. While sitting under the dryer, I nonchalantly picked up the Star magazine that was sitting there. Not my taste of reading, but I thought I'd just browse through the photos.
I came across this page where it was showing photos of superstars. I forget who was all shown, but two that stood out were Madonna and Cameren Diaz. The magazine was insulting these beautiful fit women for being too bulky! It went so far as to say they look terrible and need to lay off the body building. It really shocked me.
I know that I should not give any merit to this "smut" magazine, but it annoyed me. These women looked healthy and fit, and now they're telling people that healthy and fit is bad and we'd rather you look like a skinny lolypop.

I haven't seen any recent pics of Madonna or Cameron Diaz but last I remember them they both erred on the side of being too thin. I guess they've filled out a bit recently? If so, that's great. I'll bet they look fantastic! Shame on Star Magazine!

No, no. They are both grossly thin. I think the criticism of Madonna is that she is so very lean and then what is left is very muscular. She looks anything but healthy - she actually looks unwell to me. She looks like someone with an eating and workout disorder - doesn't eat and works out too much. Cameron Diaz also has been looking gaunt and off lately. She used to have a more athletic look - no more. Madonna's ex-husband compared her to a piece of grissle when they were getting divorced and I have to say, I think the comparison is apt.

I saw a picture of a model and the caption was "How to get 6-pack Abs."
I thought - where on Earth are her abs?!
She was nothing but skinny!
Mind you, I'm not dogging anyone's body style if they are healthy - but "how to get 6-pack abs" should have actually showed a picture of someone with an actual 6-pack (like Jai or Amanda!) - Geesh!

Just a follow up, the photos they showed of those 2, as well as 3 or 4 others, were all of very fit women. They looked healthy with lots of nice looking muscle definition, no sickly skinny.

The most recent pic I saw of Madonna was not pretty. She looked anorexic. I'd guess her bodyfat to be around 5-6%. Not healthy or attractive. But I think Cameron Diaz is fab. We're the same age & I love she's still rockin her bod.

And I totally agree w/Jennifer when it comes to models mags consider "fit." 99% of them look like they've never touched a weight in their lives. Not to mention 98% of them are like 17 years old.

Anyway, my only advice to you is: stop reading Star Magazine. Even by accident. ;)
