sometime this week, can't remember exactly which morning, that wide leg jeans are coming back in style.

Well duh! Did they ever even really go out? Did any of us expect that ridiculous skinny jean trend to last? :+

I never even tried on any skinny jeans. Really, I don't need that kind of blow to my ego. It's fragile enough as is.;)

Wide leg jeans are coming back in style because nobody was buying the skinny jeans. I was talking to a sales woman in a local department store and she said they can't give the skinny jeans away. I think the "in" style is dictated by our pocket books.

Love when fashion is controlled by the consumer! Makes me laugh! Tired of being told what is "in" and "out". Bite me! :)

I totally agree with all of you. Those skinny jeans were horrid, IMO. I never tried any on either. I knew they wouldn't fit right so what's the point? On the other hand, I luv my wide leg jeans! So I guess I'm in style again. I never change my style to try & agree with the current fad (although I will pick something up if it appeals to me & is comfortable). Instead, I tend to just wear what I like & what's comfortable. But sometimes the current fads come back around & I end up in style again without even trying!:p :7

I know--it's so funny b/c the trend didn't even last a full season. Remember I posted about a month ago I was reading Fashion Industry magazine in a dr. office & it said "if you go out in low rise, flare leg jeans you'll look like a fool?" And I thought to myself oh well, guess I'll have to look like a fool in public. Well, who's laughing now? }(

I haven't tried the Skinny jeans...I'm too short for them. But yeah, I didn't realize wide legged ones were out of style. They still sell for a lot of money at The Gap, so how "out" could they have been?

I agree with Melissa.

Skinny jeans only flatter women who have NO hips. So if all the women who have hips boycott 'em.....bye bye skinny jeans }(

Many, many teenagers, that's who.... :) The emo kids love them and are wearing the he!! out of them..... This is not a trend for anyone over 25 but they sure look sweet on my long and lean 18 and 13 year old daughters. My 16 year old is a bigger boned girl and smart enough to know that they are not meant for her body style. I never thought for a moment that this 'trend' was for me.... I'll graciously stick with a more classic style and let the kids have their fashion moment... :)

Yah...yuck-o on the skinny jeans.

I am about to date myself, but does anyone remember when people used to safety pin their jeans to make them skinnier? Ugh, gross!!!

Give me low-rise, boot-cut. Seven or True Religion, preferably!!! ;-)

Just say "no" to skinny jeans!!!

I kept reading the same thing! And thinking the same thing as you...no way am I giving up my favorite jeans that easy!

I do have one pair of skinny jeans, which I think I'll hold onto because my hubby likes them...I'm sure I can find some use for 'em!;)

Wow, I completely missed that one and I'm glad! I just got it all figured out what jeans work for me let alone even considering a skinny jean (not good with my butt!). Whew...well glad to know that already came and went!

>You are kidding about the big hair thing, aren't you??

Absolutely not! My hair is naturally big and would be way less work if I could just let it do its thing, lol.

PS: Plus I am a child of the 80s. Our hair was enormous!
