<<^^>> squeaky *clean* weekend <<^^>>

morris, you could ask your store/meat counter to grind it for you.
im so sorry about your mom. how close will you be to her when you move?
if you've got a hankering for sweet shredded wheat try the kashi cinnamon harvest. lightly sweet, high fiber...protein isnt the greates but thatswhhat milk & pb are for!:D

pm snack was.......homemade sweet potato fries! they was GOOD! my sis is home from college so we made a treat!

julia has a snotty nose!:( i should be glad it has escaped her til now. everyone but me has had it. i knew when isabel got it julia would be next. isabel cant keep her hands - or lips! - off her! her naps have been horrible today:(.

at least now i dont want to bake anything. if i had baked i prob wouldve ate more cals anyway.

sts9/legs as soon as pumpkinbutt:D is asleep!:D

what is smokey bbones? i cannot remember when i last ate a donut. cookies and muffins are my thing. kate, i love the wrap filling. finn, not so much:D love the hoisin sauce.so you think my store would grind chick breast s for me?enjoy your wo. i thought you did one this am?

katie, how are the tee shirts coming?

went to a cold snowyplayground this afternon with finn's friend. it was nice and took my mind off things. a good eveningwith the boys, and clean dinner. good day for me all around. i feel so much morebalanced w/o work. i love my job but am having stress w/it right now. i can see it in how i feel, how i eat, and how i sleep on a work day vs home:( ah well, must find a good way to cope. hope to get up early tomorrow, but we will see. g'night all

STS9 done!!! That insertion part of the butt and leg - AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!! The pain! The pain! THe wonderful pain!!!! The bonus was "fun"!

Morris, SB is a BBQ place. Glad you liked the wraps. My girls turned up their noses at them too;). I have another wrap recipe, more PF-style. Here is the link - I havent made it yet, and its from a blog, I'm always leary of blog-food...you have no idea what kind of chef really put these things togehter.
http://www.wasabimon.com/archive/wanna-be-pf-changs-lettuce-wraps-recipe/
Maybe Finn will like this one?
And I'm sure your grocer would grind meat for you. You want a mix of white and dark tho - all white will be rubbery.
I didn't do a WO this morning. I was hoping for it, but no dice. Got too busy cooking!:D
Do you think you'll work when you move? I've never had an "outside" job while having kids but I was A LOT more involved with DH's business in years past. I always had dds w/ me and would try to work at naptimes, but things would always come up anyway at the most inopportune times. Mike and I would stay up doing paperwork til 1AM, sometimes later, and wake up at 5 to start all over again. I was cranky, he was stressed and we FOUGHT. I get pg w/ Julia and I said NO MORE! We hired a secretary for Mike and its been smooth sailing for our marriage ever since....well, apart from the occasional lazy-dh rant!:p;) At first it was VERY woerd for me to have another woman around my husband all day.....not that I didnt trust either one of them, but its just wierd that another woman is 10' from your DH all day and literally knows moer about his daily schedule than ou do. So now I'm just down to payroll duties and that is PLENTY for me! Wow, you didn't ask for all that, did you?!

Better get ready for bed!

Morning everyone,

Today is basically a catch-upmax, laundrymax, cleanmax, etc. day. I went for a jog/run for 25 min (first time I ran 3 minutes straight and it felt great - next is 5 min). Then I did GS BSB - I stopped after the concentration curls because I was feeling a lot of tension in my back and didn't want an injury. I still really am enjoying GS! I'm going to order my next Cathe (I'm doing one per month). Should I get Pyramids or Slow&Heavy first?

Kate, your story of working from home stresses me out! :) I'm sorry Julia is sick!

Katie, your plans for Collin's bday party sound so fun! You're a great mom! I loved seeing your wedding pics too. When did you get married? I seem to remember it being right before I joined the check-in.

Colleen, hope you have some good luck finding a new wardrobe. While I like new clothes, I hate shopping for them! Thanks for the web site!

Morris, sorry things are so stressful for you right now. Some days for me seem totally overwhelming too and then the next day is fine. It's amazing what just a "normal" day can do for your psyche! :) Your pics are adorable!!

Klaudia, today's the big day! Not sure if I'll stay up for the whole game but I'll try to catch some of it! :) Your pics were great too!

Robin, great job finishing meso 1. What are your thoughts so far? Would you recommend it?

Anne, I think you're away this weekend. I hope you're feeling better!

OK, gotta put Ellie down for her nap and take a shower.

Eats are clean today - Ryan makes "Sunday" bfast and doesn't like it if I don't eat ANY so I had one small piece of french toast this morning. The rest has been squeaky.

BBL.
angie

angie, thats a lot of maxing!!!!
glad youre liking gs! i vote pyramids!!! i love them! they are much more versatile than sh. you can pyr just down or up and go really heavy. also a rockin ab wo!

SCORE TWO ON THE CLEAN-EATING CARD FOR ME!!!
i made "cloudcakes" (crazy light as air pancakes) and sausage....and had my standard kasi bfast!!!
that was AFTER i woke up early to do ccv1 and clean the kitchen!
today was supposed to be a rest day but i was pumped to get moving!

klaudia, have a great class today!!

good monring all!

angie, great wo's! did dh take care of the girls for all thart? how nice! i second the pyramids. porbably my fav cathe weight works, or tied to gs. i don't have s and h, though.

morning kate. i will look at that recipe. yeah for you on the wm (what was it?) and kitchen clean up and clean breakfast. great start to your day. i only was able to do an avtar d/t anne's helpful advice. i am so computer illiterate it is awful.

where is katie?? stuck under a puile of kids shirts?

great night here, and i sooo wanted to stay in bed and sleep in, but i got up anyways and did a run. my foot felt "funny" yesterday after those miles but fine this am. i did 10 miles. it feels funny again now, but not painful. i will take tomorrow off from running though, to be safe, and i won't up my mileage for a few weeks. i did pub abs. trying to decide what ub wo to do later - i am thinking of ctx b/c it has been so long since i have done that. any thoughts? i am so bummed - 10-14inches of snow expected tonight into tomorrow. i have to work and bet school will be closed. while i would love a home day, i need to work to afford daycare and all that. kate, i cannot imagine working with dh - that would NOT be good for our marriage. my job is stressful to me right now b/c the economy is so bad, i will be the first person let go if they need to do that. i am a parttimer and well paid+expendible. it would be survivable for us b/c we are moving in a few months, but, it would be very disruptive to finn especially. he LOVES school. i am just not sure what will happen, and i do not do myself any favors my worrying.

hoping it warms up to get the dog out for a walk shortly, quick trip to walmart and more cleaning. hope to see a friend too. eats will be really clean today.bbl

where is katie?? stuck under a puile of kids shirts

LMAO!! I'm here, Sunday is my rest day, so I slept in. Gimme a few minutes, and yes, i'll be stuck under a pile of kid shirts!

Kate, you sound like me today! Up at the crack of down, workout done, and b'fast cooked for the fam before anyone else is even awake! I feel like a sloth!

Angie, I am glad you are enjoying the couch to 5k program and Gym Styles. I vote for the Pyramids too before S&H. I got married on May 25, 08 (memorial day weekend) in Nags Head, NC.

Morris, how long does it take you to run 10 miles? I was able to run 3.5 miles without stopping the other day, but I set the TM at 5.5 mph. How can I work on increasing me speed? I have no clue about this stuff...

Good Morning Everyone!

I got a kettlebell and AOS DVD for my birthday!!!! Yeah!!! I can't wait to try out but I think it might be too heavy to start with. I might order a lighter one but I have been spending $$ like crazy this weekend. I need to stop!!!

Dinner at the in-laws was amusing. FIL told us that they have "diet nights". I thought that was hilarious. He was complaining about not being able to lose weight despite eating healthy 4 days a week and then pigging out Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Told him it would never work. He's really stubborn and you can never tell him he is wrong but I got a good chuckle.

Today I am going to pack up all the old clothes that no longer fit (they have been sitting in my guest bedroom for 8 months or so) so I can take them to goodwill. I also need to iron and I want to read too. They are forecasting anywhere from 5 to 11 inches of snow tonight into tomorrow which will most likely shut everything down around here. I am praying for a day where I can just sit here at home in my pj's. The weatherman is really iffy as to what will happen so I probably will end up going to work tomorrow.

Today's workout is some much needed stretching. Breakfast was a ww bagel because Chris was out of bagels and we had to go to the bagel place anyway. I didn't see that they had oatmeal until after I ordered.

Angie, I vote for pyramids. I didn't like S&H so I returned it (bought at Collage because I didn't think I would like it.)
Morris, I sometimes have a hard time finding ground chicken but my store always carries ground turkey so I just use that instead. I'm sure your meat counter will grind it for you.
Kate, I am the opposite of you. I definitely need this rest week from STS. I feel like all my muscles are sore and they just want some rest. I am sure I will feel differently in a couple of days.
Katie, have fun with the kid shirts today!
Hi Klaudia, Robin & Anne!

OK... so pyramids wins! I'll order those...

Colleen, I hope you get your snow day!

Katie, hope you're not buried under shirts! :)

Morris, glad you got your run in but definitely take care of your foot! If you can't work and can't take Finn to daycare, is there a local free preschool that he could go to? Some school districts offer them...

Kate, wtg getting up and going early. Feels good doesn't it? Somehow I always crash around 2 when I do that...

Off to order my pyramids!

Ok, I'm hooked! The kettlebell class was awesome!! The time went by so fast. And I have to brag-Cathe has gotten me in great shape endurance wise-one of the exercises was to do 25 mountain climbers/leg, followed by 25 swings (26# kb) then do 5 pulls ups and then repeat-3 times! We also had to do this snatch/squat catch thingy for 7 reps followed by 7 push ups-as many sets as we could in 10 minutes! Tomorrow should be fun! My girlfriend and I are going to try and go once a month. And boy am I glad I didn't do that second back/tri workout yesterday!

Angie, can't wait til this afternoon-hopefully they make it a game, not a blowout! Nice job on the run! You'll like the pyramids-very versatile.

Kate, way to go on the clean eats all weekend! Hope Julia's feeling better-poor peanut!

Colleen, I got the kashi sandwich in the frozen dinner aisle. It has some sodium, but since I don't eat those things everyday, I didn't mind too much. Have fun with the kettlebell-I'm addicted after one class! I used a 9# for warm ups and also a 13# and 26#. Hope you get a snow day!

Morris, glad you had such a good day yesterday! I hope you DON'T get any snow. Don't stress yourself out about what you can't control or what hasn't happened yet. Your body doesn't know the difference between what is real and will respond to what it sees as stress.

Katie, you make me feel like a sloth-especially on the weekends! Good luck with the t-shirts! I tried to have the kids make placemats at one of their parties-good idea in theory, but kinda messy with fabric paint!

Hi Robin and Anne!!

b-kashi cinnamon harvest
s-cottage cheese, grape tomatoes

Off to shower...

Hi girls! In bed watching men in black with Ryan. Just wanted to say goodnight. Kept it clean about 80% today which is about what I am shooting for. See you in the am!!!

colleen, i bet you won't be going anywhere. that same storm is heading to us for the 14 inches tomorrow. we will be slow but going. i cnnot imagine the city dealing well. i have made so many trips to good will in the last 2 weeks as i am going thru closets. it feels so good! where did you find clothes yesterday?

klaudia, you sound so energized. where do you think i could find some kettle bell instruction? i'd love a class before i invested in home equipment.

angie, yeah on the clean eats. enjoy snuggling with your dh

katie, speed is different for everyone. i would start by maybe doing 20-30 bursts at a faster speed, maybe 6 for you? then knock it back down to your steady or a tad lower. just don't do speed work more than 1x per week was advice i heard. just my 2cents:)

the boys have been soooo good today. i am so fortunate. we played all over the house, no fits or whining, went to good will (again), walmart (just to look at fish and walk around), and played outside even though it was so cold. both are napping and i just finished ctx. it is so long to do all that upper body, btu at least it is done. just ate my snack of popcorn, but i really really want icecream and cake:mad::mad: ah well, hopefully i will feel satisfied. i think tomorrow will be a wash. you all have such good advice for me - it really helps me take a step back and i appreciate it. wish we could all walk this afternoon, but the snow jhas staerted. maybe we can go back outside or go to the bookstore. bbl

quick drive-by.....did read all tho.....
busy family day
eats clean.....except for the cookies we made today:confused:

morris, ccv1 is cardio coach vloume1:)

argggg. i am ready for bed but not a snow day. ah well - cannot control it. kids have been angels. eats got away from me a little after my popcorn - a bit of choclate, a lara bar, some pb. all said, my day was 85% there. my mom sounds a bit better on the phone, and dh called me from greece. now to bathe my monkeys and everyone into bed. please let our power stay on!

good night everyone.

kate, what kind of cookies???

Did someone say cookies???

Morris, glad to hear the good news about DH and your mom. The storm is at my house right now, then it's headed for Colleen, then up your way.

They are only predicting 2-4 inches of snow here. I am really torn about whether I want a snow day tomorrow. Of course I love snow days, don't get me wrong. But I have work today and I am already scheduled to be off on Tuesday (Collin's birthday) and Friday (personal business) this week and I don't want my work piling up. I guess we will see...
