Spring into Summer weekend check in (formerly Bikini countdown)

Good Morning everyone,

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend so far. I made an executive decision for the new check in name based on a great suggestion by Pinky. This name should last us for a while!

On to business.

Today was Slow and Heavy Tris and Bis. I'm thinking I need to invest in some 6 or 7# weights as I just can't do the lying extensions with 8's! The slow count just kills me! Everything else went great and my arms feel very worked out. I them moved onto some house work and am taking a break to check in. I'm one sick puppy as I've got the Cardio Blast marathon on the TV for background noise.

Well, my mop is calling me back!
 
Hello, hello... Am aiming to restart this week despite the jet lag, which is abating but very, very slowly. Maybe something light to wake up the muscle like C&W, which was the first workout I did after going back home.

I've also been slow in cleaning up my diet. Lessening the bad carbs hasn't been as difficult as I thought. Clearing out the sugar, however, is driving me nuts. I find myself wanting dessert after every meal, just the way my mom fed me.:p

Hi Everyone,
Its your long lost pal again. How is everyone do'in? I go through spurts where I am on the internet ALL of the time.And then there are other times when I can go two to three days without even comming here. It all depends on whats going on in my life at the time.
I am not sure what the workout will be today.I think I am going for a run when I finish my coffee ,and I would like to do PH sometime today.DH is living to go away for meetings so I will have alot of free times tonight.
We are having some beautiful weather here.Last sunday we had another snow storm and the ground was covered again with snow.I was not impressed! But thats all melted again now.This weather is getting me primed for the CUba sun! I have my bags pretty much packed and I also bought some awesome bikinis, very cute.
Anyway,thats it for me.I will check in again before I leave (we leave on Thursday)

Sorry I've been awol this past week . Things have been pretty hectic here plus I ended up with a nasty UTI so I was out even if I wanted to work out I was in too much discomfort.
So this past week I just took it as a rest week since I was feeling rather out of it.

I'm feeling much better this morning so I hope to start the week with a nice long walk through my rather hilly , wooded neighborhood.

I have no idea what rotation I'll do this month . Just checked in on Cathe's May Rotation and I'm not sure if I'll do it or not .

Is anyone doing a rotation for this month? Tell me about it and I may join you.

Well y'all have a great day and I'll try to checkin later on tonight .
My hubby is taking 2 online colleg courses so I'm not sure how often I'll be on the pc this time around but I'll try to get in when he's not around LOL :)

Just got through with Karen Voight's Yoga Focus. I really like it and am feeling challenged by some of the poses. The music is also really good as far as yoga type music goes (middle eastern meets new age). I feel totally stretched out and look forward to doing it again.

Shywolf- I saw Cathe's May rotation and will probably pass as I am already trying to incorporate 2 stretching/yoga routines per week (one as an add on or second workout for that day and one on my 'rest' day). I may go and do my tank top arms/beach butt rotation again or I may do one from last year, the variety rotation (I think it was May's last year). Sorry to hear about the UTI. Hope that is all cleared up.

Pinky- Glad to hear that the jet lag is slowly letting up and that you're feeling up to working out. How are your knees feeling after the vacation?

Good to hear from you Lorihart. You'll have to let us know how your trip was when you get back.

ShyWolf, I hope you feel better. I'm going to the ob tomorrow myself for my annual. I've already cancelled twice and I'll just have to bite the bullet tomorrow. Get this off my back. Ugh...

Lisa, I think I missed your birthday. Belated greetings to you, my friend. Hope it's not too late. :) I also hope you feel better soon.

Sabine, thanks for asking about my knees. Funny... I was just e-mailing my PT friend about them, thanking him for making me better. I know I wasn't able to check in too often while I was away. My connection out there was too slow for my liking. But I brought my Cathe DVD's and bought a whole bunch of equipment -- the guy at the store couldn't believe how much I was getting. So I still got to work out my legs. Just made sure I did enough to get them lightly fatigued without getting them sore the next day, if that makes any sense. I also put a day in between cardio sessions and alternated between step and kickboxing.

So I finally did C&W. I'm not as out of shape as I thought since I was still able to handle the 12-lb. exercises. Eating has also been very clean today. Yay!:7
