Spring into Summer 7/1

Hello, I have never started up one of these threads, but since I had time and was here, figured, why not!
So, yesterday I got in Power Hour after my wlk/jog in the morning. I was exhausted by the time I got done with Biceps, I mean I was shaking, so I stoped. Today I will work my triceps after I do my cardio. I will more than likely do Rhythmic Step I think. I saw the box sitting in my living room today and decided it looked like fun, so I will probably do that.
How is everyone today? I'm doing pretty well, I must say. I'm gonig out of town next week to Lake of the Woods, on the border of Canada and Minnesota. I'll be bringing my son with me and staying with my parents. My brother and one of his friends that happens to be a girl, will be up there too. It should be fun. What are you all up to for the 4th?
Gotta go, but, I hope everyone has a great day!

Today I did Cardio & Weights, adding extra sets of weights for each body part. (I usually get some of my weightlifting done during lunch at a gym, but the gym is being refurbished and the weight room is closed. I therefore have to squeeze in extra weights where I can!).

Tomorrow is supposed to be a rest day, but I think I might do a light Janis Saffel (like Strike Zone).

For the July 4th weekend, I am going with my DH and some friends to a Phillies game. Other than that, we are hanging out at home, as my DH just gets back from Japan tonight and I suspect he'll be quite jet-lagged.

Today is my eldest son's 12th birthday! He chose Chinese food and Baskin Robbin's for dinner tonight...no ice cream for me and very little dinner! Tomorrow is his party with all of his friends (sleep over! ), Sat. is a minor league baseball game with lots of friends (fun!), and the Fourth is church and then HOME! My family can come see us but we're not going anywhere! Ha!:p

Yesterday DH and I did a loop with 6 hills, one of which is really steep. The second time we hit the steep hill it won and I walked for about 50 yards before getting back on my bike. My whole body is sore this a.m. It seems like the few days before TOM I just don't have it in me for the tough stuff. DH thinks it could be the lower blood count and therefore decreased oxygen supply to the muscles. Yesterday I just sucked air...my lungs hurt worse than my legs. Anyone else experience this?

Today will be Body Fusion...I just previewed it and it looks like a lot of fun. I'll tack on some HIIT after if I'm feeling ambitious!

Hello to everyone. Vilma, glad to hear you're doing well and in such good spirits! Have a great holiday!

Morning all,

This morning was Rob Glick Hi/Lo Fusion. Loved the choreography! Did not appreciate that the workout is a real space hog. I move my living room furniture out of the way to work out and probably have a good 8 X 8 foot space to move and it was still not big enough for some combos. So I had a great workout and had fun but couldn't give it my all with space constraints being an issue.

For the 4th I have decided to stay at home. My head is starting to feel congested (again) and my throat glands are swollen. I was supposed to go out of town, but feel run down and slightly sick. So I think I'll hang out at home and get lots of rest, watch some good movies, read, cook, etc.

Vilma- Great news from the doctor! I know you're chomping at the bit to get back in the swing of things but do try to take it easy. I think your idea of yoga and stretching to start your way back is a good one.

Welcome Shelbygirl!

Gotta run!

Hi well, I didn't workout per say today as today was my 1st day of being out of the house after my surgery and I went shopping! LOL
All that walking did me good. ;)
Well nothing much planed for the 4th except that I'll be preordering the Hardcore series ...I can't wait for that one just hearing the descriptions is getting me revved up!
Thank Sabine and Cindee; yup I'm really chomping a the bit really bad..I can not wait to get back to my fitness level before my surgery, I soooo want to do my fave IMAX 2 or even BootCamp all out but I think I'll wait until the start of the new week. For the meanwhile I'm gonna to do lots of walking and some lite muscle endurance type of weight work along with working on my pikes on the ball. Just before my surgery I was able to join Cathe in all those pikes Yee Haw!
