Spring into Summer - 6/5 weekend check-in

Hello ladies, anyone checking in this weekend? Yesterday I did C&W and today was PH-upper body only + abs. My mind has been on several pressing business matters lately and I can only focus (barely) on an hour's worth of physical activity. Tomorrow will be KPC so I can get my cardio and leg work in one session, and Monday will be PUB. I'm trying to get up to 55 lbs. for bench press, and that's where PUB will help me as I use a BB (45/50/55) for those presses. Yep, gotta plan my workouts or else they won't get done... Tuesday might be rest day or pure cardio, depending on how I feel and what the day holds.

Sabine, thank you for your kind words about motherhood last Friday.:) Lisa, I hope you and Michael are doing fine. Brenda, have you recovered from LV yet? Elizabeth, I'm thinking about you. Haven't heard from you in a while. ShyWolf, have you gotten back into the workout groove? With the way my life has been lately, I'm finding it hard to stay in the groove... Hellos to Lorihart, Kathy, Suzanne, Joy (are you still there?) and everyone else my failing brain can't recall today.:)

Have a great weekend everybody.

Hello everyone,

I'm feeling much better, and so is Michael. It looks like at some point his headaches must have become rebound headaches. He is greatly improved now that he is 3 weeks off OTC medications. I think it's safe to let him start having wheat and milk again. I have been a little, already. I never really thought they were the culprits, but felt that I had to give it a try for his sake, even though it's been very hard for him.

I did the 30 min Cathe basic step workout. With her advanced step workouts, I had been using only a 4 in. step. I started with 6 on this, and moved up to 8 inches. It is a decent workout, but very basic. It's hard to come back to that after managing Rhythmic Step and Step Blast, although I think there will be some days when I'm glad to have the basic step. The DVD is worth it though, for that workout as well as as Body Fusion (circuit) workout, and the upper body, lower body and stability ball add-ons. After the step, I did the Bar Method Fat Free, with the bonus abs and rear workout... I think I'm prefering light or no weight workouts for my lower body. When I go back to Cathe for lower body, I'm going to drastically reduce the weight. I know that my legs are slimmer now than they were when I was doing squats with 50 lbs on my barbell.

Pinky, I think you're wise to schedule your workouts. There very important, and I believe that you need to get them in if you can. Just don't stress when there's not enough time; there's always tomorrow!

Hello to everyone. Have a great weekend!

Hi everyone,

Today I did Cardio and Weights. I hadn't done this workout in so long! I forgot that this workout, while considered one of Cathe's easier workouts, is still pretty darn challenging and I was drenched with sweat at the end of it. Unfortunately, I think I pulled my lower back a bit as it feels tight right now. So tomorrow I'll either rest or do some yoga to try and loosen it up.

Pinky- WOW! 55# for bench press! I'd have to spend some time working up to that weight. I'm with you as far as planning workouts. If I have a schedule in mind, I'm much more inclined to make sure I make the time to do the workout. Keeps me on track.

Lisa- Glad to hear that Michael's headaches are getting better. And that you're feeling better too! Both you and he deserve some positive things given what you went through in the winter/spring.

Only 3 more days!!! Whooo hooooo! Still so many errands to run and I'm running out of time!
