Spoiling my kids fun.

My kids made a fort in the basement. It's been able to stay up for a week and a half, because I'm not in Meso 3 yet--therefore I don't need all the weight plates that are anchoring the blankets. But I did have to inform them that I need my Wavemaster tomorrow for the Heavy Bag Bonus.:(:p

Did I mention that their ages are 10, 13, and 15?

:D Thats too funny. When I was a kid we had a fort in the honey suckle bushes and kids used to suck on the blossoms for the sweetness. :p

I had to laugh at this post, mainly becasue I always feel like I am spoiling my kids fun. I used have to tear down all of their creations in the basement because it took up all of the space and I needed it for my workouts. I moved my stuff recently so it's not a problem anymore.

Space was a HUGE issue in our old house. Now things can stay up longer if they don't cross the line I've mapped our for my exercise space--although I usually have to remove shoes, swords, lightsabers, etc. from my "space" before I can work out. The kids are also savy enough now to check with me to see what weights I'll be using before they build.;)

The rule has always been that my exercise equipment is to be used ONLY for exercise--not to be played with (with the exception of weights being used as anchors). Somehow, that rule is often "forgotten." Years ago I had to re-glue the tread back on my step because I found it was being used as a slide. Stability balls and bands/tubing are particularly tempting.

Anybody else have trouble keeping their exercise stuff to themselves?

Ah, yes...my kids love the stability balls, and the bands, they especially love sliding down my treadmill while it's moving on a decline.

Actually, that does sound like fun. I'm glad I don't have a treadmill: I shudder to think what my son would do with that.

You are a good mom. :) Forts rarely stay up in our house longer than a day and when they have sleepovers I get antsy if I can't get down to the basement for my workout by 10am! :(
