Splitting up workouts, such as Gym Styles & Pyramid

Is it o.k. if I split up Gymstyles series or Pyramid series into two workouts in a day? Sometimes due to time, for example Gymstyle back, shoulders & biceps, I'll do the back & shoulders in the a.m. and biceps in the p.m.

Thanks
Wendy

Hi Wendy,

Of course you can split them up, in whatever way works best for you! As an example, I love the Pyramid upper body workout, but find that I can only do the "up" sets of the whole thing, or what I even like better that I have started to do , is I take the upper workout and split that into 2 sessions. I do Chest & Back ( all 5 sets for each) on one day, and Shoulders & Triceps & Biceps ( all 5 sets for each) on another day. I find I can go heavier on all without losing form, which I tend to do it I do the whole thing at once.

This week I started spliting up the Pyramids. After a cardio session, I tacked on PUB, doing the warm-up, up only of chest and triceps, then a stretch. Today after cardio, I tacked on PLB, warm-up, stability ball floorwork and a stretch. Later in the week I plan to do the up versions of both workouts after cardio sessions each day. I love the options with this dvd. It is so well chaptered. Doing this with GS is harder, since it isn't as well chaptered. But its still doable with some patience. Have fun!
