I've fallen in love with spinning (and giving step a break). We often use high tension during the class, which really gets the heart rate up. However, will the high tension create bulky thighs? I can really feel the burn. I have short legs so I want them to be as lean as possible (realistically, of course).

Hi Linda!

That will heavily depend on your genetics. I personally found that my legs bulked from high tension at first but then they adjusted and returned to normal. Also, I like to vary the speed and tension in each class to help prevent overuse of one particular muscle group. I'm glad you have found another activity that you enjoy so much. Have Fun!
