Spinerval Videos

I looked into them while enduring a string of storms this winter that kept me off my bike. They received enthusiastic comments on the Video Fitness forum. I don't know if anyone actually posted a review. I asked a competitive cyclist & coach about them & he wasn't a fan. He's one of Johnny G's trainers - he trains Spinning instructors so his comments weren't rooted in a dislike of indoor cycling.

They are pretty pricey. From the VF comments, it looked like they'd most appeal to experienced cyclists or at least hard core spinners. Hopefully Nancy C is going to comment, I think she has some of the tapes.

Gave my 2 cents...

Yup, I did Debra..I think I responded to Julieann over at VF:-hmm

Either way...I wasn't impressed with mine(I only ordered one). Not the least bit visually stimulating. They just weren't for me.
I think they would be super for the hard core road person or the home exerciser that doesn't mind missing the extra glitz of regular workout videos (the superficial stuff like nice sets..great outfits and fun instructors)..this was way to serious for me..I gotta have fun when I work hard and I like visual stimulation.

Not to mention, they used real bikes on trainers and real gear settings to tell you how hard to work...not the best for a spin bike.
