A term my friends made up to me using Cathe's cycle dvd's to working out on my treadmill. I have been wanting a spinning bike, but it is not in the budget right now. I was curious about the cycle workouts , so watched a couple on my on demand account. I found that I could adapt most of the segments to the treadmill. When they did hills, I could just increase the incline on the treadmill. Sprints and tempo rides could be achieved by increasing the speed on the treadmill.
I found it easy to match my foot-strikes to their pedal revolutions on screen. The main thing I liked was that it took the boredom out of the treadmill. Now instead of staring at the time or distance on my treadmill and dreading having to chug away longer, I focus on Cathe's directions. I also like the music, it helped not focus on time.
Maybe "Santa" will get me a spinning bike, but until then, this is the best workout I have ever gotten on my treadmill.
