Spider veins and vericose veins during pregnancy?

Hi moms!

Just wondered if any of you have noticed that you have developed spider or vericose veins as a result of pregnancy? I seem to get some with each pregnancy, and have been thinking that I may have vein treatment done after I have my next baby (which will be our last one). Has anybody had this procedure done, if so, is it very expensive?

Thanks for the feeback. I'm trying to stay as active as possible to keep my circulation strong. Amazing what our body goes through during pregnancy!

I have noticed some spider veins popping up on my left calf during this pregnancy (it is my first, but my mom had some pretty bad varicose veins as a result of her pregnancies. I have read that they can rid of them with a laser technique - so no need for the vein surgery. I've heard that it costs around $500 for treatment. I also read that flight compression socks can help minimize them - not sure if it works! I might give it a try.

I had no problem with my first pregnancy but got awful vericose veins with #2. The doctor told me that usually return with subsequent pregnancies. They did significantly fade and now are just a faint shade of blue, barely noticeable.
