sore muscles?

I just have a quick question for everyone. I am 27 weeks pregnant and recently started incorporating weights/strength training back into my routine in addition to the cardio. My strength has diminished a little bit obviously because I went about 9 weeks without it. Strangely, however, since I have taken it back up, I don't have any soreness whatsoever? I would have expected a little bit because I do work the triceps etc until they are tired (not quite exhausted). I don't know if it's down to the relaxin in my system? But, this would have normally made me sore given the effort I am putting into it. Is this normal? I don't want to overdue it without realizing it. I just don't understand why my muscles don't hurt.

That is an interesting question!! I am 30 weeks pregnant with twins and took off about 3 weeks in the beginning...and, I wasn't sore either when I went back to weights!! hmmmmmm??
I did not change my upper body weights at all, I did lower my squat weight, though. I think your theory about relaxin might be right or that maybe our bodies are getting used to the extra weight we are carrying around in spite of adding those pounds when working out.

All I know is that I am thankful I can still be lifting weights and exercising instead of being on bedrest...I think I would literally go crazy.

Anyway, I know I didn't answer your question, but I thought I would respond!;)

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!!!
