sore feet

from Insanity plus i work sales floor but only 20 hrs a week 4 hrs in a day.my pharmisist suggested using a pain reliever in a tube that she says needs to have analgesic. it does work tho pricey since i have to use it more than once a day all over my foot. i am curious what anyone else uses. my feet are sore everywhere except balls of my feet. i still have 5 weeks of Insanity left

Laura, I don't know your details, but you should see a podiatrist. Insanity is super high impact & it might be aggravating a mild condition. I have pf, tendonitis & heel spurs in both feet. I tried Insanity & had to return it, it was so painful. :(

My podiatrist gave me inserts, & we have cortisone shots on tap, I'm just afraid of them so I keep putting them off. You might have one or more of the three conditions I listed, tendonitis being the most likely. What does the pain feel like? Does it feel like your feet are cramping up? Or a more sharper kind of pain? I can't diagnose you, but I can tell you the tendonitis felt crampy, the heel spurs are more of a shooting pain.

Anyway, good luck--nothing worse for a serious exerciser than hurtin feet!

I haven't done Insanity, but based on the previews I've seen of it and what I've heard, it's incredibly high impact. You might have bruised feet, simply from all the jumping and pounding - though when that's happened to me, it's usually on the balls of the foot, and you say you don't hurt there.

My advice would be 1) to follow Laura's advice and see a podiatrist and 2) take a break until your feet heal. I know you hate to stop in the middle of a rotation. But trust me, it's not worth damaging your feet permanently. I've got my own feet problems, and it's not fun. You have to stand and walk on these things for the rest of your life, so take good care of them.

i looked up tendinitus and it seems like what i might have. it suggests doing no cardio for 2 weeks and see if it gets better.if not,see doc. i guess i'll just do upper body sitting in a chair or stability ball, pushups, and pullups.
