So.....who else is NOT going to do the new workouts?

I cannot believe I am even ASKING this question, but I'm just curious. Is anybody NOT going to do the new workouts right now?

Anybody BESIDES ME?????????

2 months ago, if you had told me that I wouldn't just RIP into the package, JUMP into workout clothes, and SWEAT right along with Cathe and gang when these bad boys arrived, I would have called you

C
R
A
Z
Y!!!!!!!!

BUT.......I'm in week 3 of a very specific program (Body For Life, if you must know), and I'm already getting EXCELLENT results. It's 12 weeks long, and I REALLY REALLY REEEEAAAAALLLLYYYYYYY want to follow the entire 12 weeks through to the end and hit my goals. I'm trying my HARDEST NOT to get distracted with other workouts, INCLUDING CATHE workouts! ACK! Am I ill? lol

WHO ELSE IS NOT GOING TO BE DOING THESE WORKOUTS RIGHT NOW????

Gayle

Yes, very ILL!!!! What is wrong with YOU??? J/K! Glad you are getting great results. You sure do put your mind to something Gayle and succeed! Good for you! Your Cathe's will be waiting!

Gayle,

I just pulled up the BFL site. I've checked it out before but not in-depth (and still haven't). Two questions...how does one start (do you need the book?) and must one use the supplements?

Thanks!

RE: So.....who else is NOT going to do the new workouts...

Well, I'm crazy too because I just started the P90X program and it's going very well for me right now, so I'm holding off on Cathe's new DVD's (which I'm supposed to get tomorrow) until I'm finished or sick of P90X. But I will probably watch them right away.

I'm not doing the new workouts right away either... but only because I am still trying to knock this piriformis syndrome/sciatica and I think the new workouts will be too much too soon. I'm hoping to be able to give them a whirl next month, though! :D *crossing fingers*

Emily, I am in week five of my sciatica attack and it is much better but I dare not try these workouts for a while. And even then, I will be always doing them lower intensity. This is my third attack in five years, and I'm not taking any more chances. I will still do them, but I call it the 'whimpy' way. I am also 61 years old and a Cathe fan from the late eighties.

Well...I didn't buy any of them, so I guess I won't be doing them. I hate to say it, but I still haven't done Butts & Gutts or Cardio Fusion.

YAY! I am not alone (although, I'm not YAY'ing the injury, Emily).

Thanks for verifying that I am, indeed, ill in the head! LOL

Debbie-yes, I have to say that if there is just ONE thing about me that I NEVER want to change, it's my stick-to-it-ness. It's wierd, but I can actually SEE and FEEL what the difference will be by the end of 12 weeks.

Sue...check out the www.bfl.com website first. I think all the info (plus the workout sheets/logs) is all on that site. I do a daily BFL check in here at the check-in forums...come on over there if you'd wish. Or PM me. Or check the book from the library if you don't want to buy it??? I did BFL with DH right after my younger DS was born and got great results!

NOW...off to hide my new DVDs so I don't break down!

Gayle

i don't think i am going to do them anytime soon. i just started doing barry's boot camp last week and am seeing amazing results from that and want to continue with it. also, i am training for a half marathon coming up in november and need to focus on that.

I am going to do them for the rest of October. I had planned to start P90X 11/1. The main reason I didn't start it sooner was because I knew these were coming and I didn't want to interrupt P90X. Hope you have great results with BFL. I need to try that again one of these days.

Well, I'm just going to be doing the cardio portions. About a month ago, I started doing ballet-type workouts and have gotten quicker and better results than I have with doing weights for an entire year. I'm sure it is due in part to my body just needing a change.

Marina

Im still new to Cathe so I won't be doing them anytime soon, but do plan on ordering them in the future! Im still trying to master BM2,B&G.

I'm such a schedule, math-head, planning geek that I am going to finish out my current October rotation. I will definitely putting together a rotation for these new guys for November, however.

For those of you jumping right in, ENJOY!

RE: So.....who else is NOT going to do the new workouts...

Hi Gayle,

I just wanted to wish you continued success with the BFL program :)

My DH followed the program about 5 years ago and had tremendous results from it. He lost about 28lbs and 4 inches around his waist. I was so proud of him.

Great idea wrapping the DVDs in Christmas wrap...I would probably still give in to curiosity and unwrap them though :p

Take Care,
Chastity

Me, I'm not going to do the new workouts until after I finish this semester. I'm a mom of 3 and a full-time college student. The thought of dragging out all of the necessary equipment for these workouts and putting it away again, exhausts me. I'll stick with running and Slow & Heavy workouts for now.

I'm going to preview them all, but probably not do any until the end of the month. I'm getting ready for a conference, and don't want to change my routine (power walking and kettlebells) until afterwards (partly because my living room/workout room looks like a bit of a disaster area, and I don't have time to make room to set up my equipment for the workouts).

I won't be doing them right away either....I am focusing on LB workouts right now, but I'll preview them and figure out where I can fit them into my rotations.

i was going to get it for xmas but cancelled my order to get p90x+ instead. i am still building up to doing step again after injury. i enjoyed p90x very much so i cant wait for the +

laura

Ha! I didn't even order them! I was waiting to order them through CKSales and now they are closing out and I still haven't gotten around to ordering them.
To tell you the truth, I wasn't overly excited about them, which is really weird for me. Probably b/c I didn't order them. Now that they are released I am getting the itch! Its soon gonna be time to scratch it!

Lori:)

RE: So.....who else is NOT going to do the new workouts...

I won't be able to do a full rotation with them, but I'm going to try to do what I can. I especially like the way you can do the weights first followed by cardio the way BBC's is designed. I feel I was getting excellent results with that.

Opps, got a little carried away.

The answer to your question is yes and no. I hope this clears things up:p

Take care, and good luck with the BFL. I tried it a couple of times. It just wasn't for me. There were too many diet variables that didn't agree with me.
