So Bummed! Scratched my Cathe DVD...

Crap! I scratched my "Step, Jamp & Pump & Step Blast" DVD......I stepped on the XBox machine (on the floor......what's it doing there?) while stepping this morning. All of the sudden.....the DVD stopped running! Opened the DVD door to find the DVD severlely SCRATCHED! I'm so bummed!

I don't have any good advice, other than to say I am sorry. I would also be majorly bummed if I did something like that.

I have told DH that if there were a fire that the exercise videos and stuffed animals would have to be saved. I once even showed him the weights I planned to throw through the window to break the window to throw my videos out to safety. Of course since DH is a firefighter he is more concerned with getting me out of the house than the videos. I guess his priorities are in the right place, well mostly.

I have heard of something to fix scratched videos. Hopefully someone will have used it to fix a video and will have real advice.

You might try taking it to one of the video game stores like "Play & Trade". We took one of my son's games there and had it cleaned. The game had a bunch of scratches on it and it came out like new when they were finished. I think it was only $2.00 to have it cleaned. Good luck.

Thanks Fitnessforfun!.....something to look into. I don't have a "Play & Trade" around here, but I do appreciate the advise. I think I'll start by calling my local DVD rental store to see how they clean theirs......

What a bummer! i agree with fitnessforfun. I have taken scratched DVDs to my local Gaming stores-- 'Game Stop' and had it buffed and then it played like new!

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! all for suggesting taking it your a video store to be cleaned!!!!! Just returned from my local video store and "Wah Lah".......the big 'ol stratch is GONE!!!! and it's as good as new......Can't even express how happy I am! Thanks again....this forum ROCKS!!!!:
