Snowing at 39 degrees?

I can't believe my eyes. We have way over a foot of snow and it averages 37-39 degrees outside. How can that be? It's sticking and not wet! I can't even make a snowman yet.

Well, all the more time to play in it and snowshoe around. Since I don't have to go anywhere, I'm having the time of my life.

But, for Christmas? It will probably rain. Darn! We have to travel during that time anyway, it's probably better for us if it does rain. Then again, that's a lot of snow to melt in such a short period of time. It most likely will be slush on our travels.

Anyone else having unusual weather?

oh yeah!!! Vegas got snow TWICE this week! 4-6 inches in some places! that hasn't happened here (where it sticks) for ages!!! We have only been here for 2 years, and realize that the temp drops more than most would anticipate, being the desert and all, but this is just plain crazy!

I also heard that my sister in Eastern Washington got 2+ FEET of snow and single digit temps!

all we can do is to urge everyone subjected to harsh weather to BE CAREFUL AND DRIVE SAFELY, AND NOT AT ALL IF CONDITIONS ARE EXTREME!!!
