Snacks before a workout?

Just wondering if any of you have a small snack before you workout. I'm experimenting with eating half a piece of fruit or 4 ounces of OJ 15 minutes before working out. I just feel like I need something to give me some quick energy without interferring with my intensity capabilities. I know I shouldn't really eat a lot of anything before working out, but I was just wondering if any of you out there had any tricks you use to give yourself a little boost.

I might eat a hard boiled egg or something to put in my stomach, but that doesn't give me an energy boost. Does coffee count? ;-)
 
Before my workout; I put 6oz of ff yogurt, 1 scoop of whey protein, 3 strawberries and 3 crushed ice cubes, into blender. Blend for 3 to 4 minutes and you talking about something good and give me mad energy to do my workout. Just me .02 cents

I don't really have time to eat anything before my workouts since I'm already getting up at 4:45am. So I do it all on an empty stomach and have never had any problems with lack of energy. But that's just me. :)
 
Before I workout at 6:30 a.m. I drink a cup of coffee and that gives me all the burst of energy I need. If I do cardio I drink one cup, if I do weights I drink two.

I usually snack on yogurt, cottage cheese or fruit before a workout and I eat during my workouts too most of the time. Body needs alot of water and food for a Cathe workout! LOL
