smoothie maker

BlendTec!!!! I can't say enough about this machine! (I tried the Magic Bullet and returned it after one use.) My blender just couldn't crush the ice and cleaning was such a hassle.

It was almost $300 from Costco. I thought the price was outrageous, but after the demonstration, DH and I both decided that it was an investment for our family's health. They had a roadshow/demonstration and this thing is just amazing. If you go to Jamba Juice or some other drink places, they use the commercial version of this blender.

What I love most is that it is a breeze to clean, nothing to disassemble and it shuts off automatically.

Now we have smoothies every day, sometimes 2X a day. I put in all kinds of fruit, some ground flax seeds, ice and orange juice and we all just love it.

I love my Magic Bullet. I don't use ice in my smoothies. I use bananas, berries and soya milk with some protien powder.

The Magic Bullet is so easy to clean - I just love it.

I highly recommend a VitaMix! I use mine at least once per day!

I've used a Magic Bullet for several years (I'm on my second one).
I use it for smoothies (I also don't add ice : I have lots of crowns and don't like things too cold, and the cold from frozen fruits or frozen banana chunks is good enough for me.) I also make açaí sorbets (kind of melty sorbet texture) with it.

For the protein powder is it the 100% whey protein powder u use...is it safe for little kids as well.

Any particular brands??

Thanks

Tammy

I'm not sure.....I want to get this for my sister in law for christmas...she loves to make smoothies...but not sure if she adds ice...is the magic bullet good for that?

if so which magic bullet...seems to be alot out there.

Thanks

Really? I thought there was only one magic bullet. I bought mine at Kohls.

I do not use ice, but I use frozen berries and they make my smoothies nice and thick. Hmmmmmm, I want one right now lol

Another vote for the Magic Bullet. I believe there is only one. I got mine at Shopko about $59 and like Kathryn I am on my 2nd one. I have used the Magic bullet for Margarita's with ice too and it works well...:D

Mmmmm, margarita's. Oh wait, I don't like tequila :p

I've seen two Magic Bullets : HSN sells a 'new and improved" version that has a larger capacity (and more power, I think).

I love my magic bullet for smoothies. I use it almost everyday.
I think that's kind of what I have. Is it a sort of wand like device with rotating blades at the end? You put all you goodies into a large plastic cup (provided, with a rubber lid), you insert the device and it blends everything together like a blender? I have a KitchenAid version I bought from Target and it's sooooo much less of a hassle than a blender (which has a bunch of parts to clean). Love it.

Nope, that's an immersion blender.
A Magic Bullet (brand name) is an individual blender. The unit itself + cup is shaped kind of like a bullet (or a big suppository).
