OK, so I feel like an idiot but can someone please tell me why I can never get my smiles to show up?

Is the smilies option on? When you type the body of your post there should be a line 'smilies option on' in red to the left. If that doesn't seem to be the issue, you may want to check your user profile to see if you can make adjustments there.

p.s. I find that I have to add my smilies right at the point I want them at. If I try to insert one at the beginning of my post and I am at the end it doesn't seem to work.

I have found that the smiley faces will not work for me if I click the message format. ..... hope this helps ... Rhonda :7
