Sinus Infections due to fungus??

My husband suffers from chronic sinus infections, he takes antibiotics and steroids every other month to clear them up. But they keep coming back!!! I just read an interesting article that says most sinus infections are from a fungus infection (candidiasis), not bacterial. It is so frustrating that his Doctor keeps treating the infection the same way, with no results.

Has anyone else heard of this or been treated for a fungus infection and gotten better???

Has he tried going to an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist?

My mom used to get a lot of sinus infections and it was related to a bone spur in the sinus passage.

I've never heard that about fungus infections though, but then there are alot of things I have never heard.

Hope he gets better soon.
