Shrinking Violets Sun 7-23

Hey guys, I figured I would start this today since it is already afternoon.
I did a 4 mile run today. I had to stop and walk 3 times for a minute, but that is the longest I have done so far.
For breakfast, BB pancakes with syrup. It was not clean, but DH always makes them SUn mornings. I am going to by a WW pancake mix and try to pass it off to the boys. We will see.
Lunch- I just had a turkey and cranberry sauce sandwich on WW bread. I am still starving so I need to go find something else!!!

Hi Shrinking Violets,

I did Step Blast this morning, but have been way too sporadic with my eating. I've had a couple granola bars, a couple bowls of cereal (without milk) a salad and some celery with dip. Tonight I'll have grilled chicken and beans and some whole grain rice. It'll be clean(er) eating tomorrow.

Just as an FYI, I'll give myself smiley faces for drinking 8 glasses of water (8 oz), eating less than my calorie limit for the day, having 5 groups of fruits and veggies, and NOT stealing from the candy dish at work! I'll start over if I don't reach my goals

:) = 1 day
;) = 10 days
:p = 25 days
:7 = 100 days

I'm not suggesting that the group should do this, it's just a way for me to feel accountable and motivated to stick with some goals I have not been able to achieve in the past. I won't stick with clean eating, so this is a better alternative. There's GOTTA be room for BB Pancakes in one's diet!

Hi everyone, I'm back home today. Clean eating starts tomorrow for me.
The reunion went well. Then we had a surprise Pre-80th birthday party for my MIL. Her birthday is not for a month or so, but because there would be so many people in town for the reunion, it was decided to have party for her now. So needless to say I did indulge in a few sweets this weekend including birthday cake. Drank lots of water. It was so hot. 112 for the high. One woman passed out and we had to call paramedics. Learned a very interesting thing about cell phone 911 in California. It stinks, we were on hold for 10 minutes. Luckily someone else got through to dispatch with a direct #. Woman ended up being ok and was released home later that day.


Welcome HC and Violet. Come shrink with us. HC whatever works for you with the smiley faces is great. I won't have to worry about different ones, because I will be lucky to finish a week at a time. Dumb question though, how do you make the different ones?

Here are my plans. 1) I am going to try to eat clean with one cheat day. 2) Post my food from the day before 3)workout at least 5 days a week. What is everyone else planning?

I had grilled chicken, WW couscous and salad for dinner, with 2 bites of the kids mac and cheese!
I will talk to all of you tomorrow. I also think the one cheat day a week is a good idea.
