G'morning!:)

My eating this weekend was okay but I went out for dinner saturday and sunday night so those meals were not the greatest but the rest of the time I kept it pretty clean....Back to business today though!;)

Right now I am eating kashi cereal, a mixture of the fiber cereal and thier cheerio-type cereal w/ff milk. :9

In a little while I'll get down to business...Leaner Legs and the u/b only portion of Ripped. I may add in a rebounder work out if I have time and then I have my running class tonight.

I am hoping to get to a store today to check out some new running shoes!}(

Have a great day!

Good morning all. Well I go up this morning and my whole body is sore. I'm not sure if it is from the airplane ride or some residual effect from the reunion heat. I tried to drink alot while I was there but I know I was dehydrated because I didn't go to the bathroom between 9:00am and 11:00pm that day. I will drink alot today. I did Stretch Max this morning so hopefully that too will help with the soreness.

Wendy, I'm going to be looking at new shoes soon too. I'm very interested in the new Ipod Nike's, but I want to wait a little while to see some reviews on them.

Hello to all.

Shrinking Violets Check-in

Good morning! I had a blessed retreat this weekend. I rededicated my body to the Lord Saturday and feel refreshed and recharged spiritually. My focus has been renewed, and I am making some vital changes in my approach to this fitness journey. I was focusing too much on my physical body and coasting spiritually. Taking care of my body is a good thing, but I allowed myself to get out of balance. I settled for what is good and neglected the greater good. My weight loss goal was starting to consume my thoughts. I was devoting so much time to planning and preparing meals and snacks and planning rotations and working out that I allowed myself to get out of balance. Packing up the scale and starting over on the 4th of July was the first step. It is time for the next step.

I am sharing more about the spiritual side of my journey in other places. As far as this check-in, I am still keeping my commitment to do 5 Cathe workouts a week. I am just putting first things first and focusing on the spiritual first then the physical. Spiritual food before physical food. Spiritual exercise before physical exercise. My big challenge in the physical area is getting more sleep. I am determined to get to bed at a decent hour. My bedtime goal for this week is 11:00 p.m. I made it Saturday night and last night. My ultimate bedtime goal is 10:00 p.m. or earlier. I am making progress.

I did Step, Jump, & Pump Saturday night after returning home from the retreat. My workouts last week were:

Low Impact Step/Total Body Sculpting (cardio and weight circuit premix)
Kick, Punch, & Crunch
High Step Training
Step Works
Step, Jump, & Pump

I enjoyed a restful day yesterday, blessed my body with restful sleep last night, woke up early this morning, feasted on my Bible study, and did Kick, Punch, & Crunch.

Blessings,
Heather B.

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV).

RE: Shrinking Violets Check-in

Hi guys! I started a lean rotation today, it was all body weights with plyo moves inbetween sets, then abs and stretch from C&W.
I had a WW bagel with PB for breakfast and I jsut had a bowl of veggie soup with a WW pita pocket for lunch.
I think I am still hungry from all those weights, but I will wait a little a while to make sure I am really hungry.

RE: Shrinking Violets Check-in

Hey Heather,

I'm also a Heather and have been working through the balance issue as well. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. The problem I have with letting go is that I really let go and completely overindulge, which isn't what God wants either. Anywho, I'm glad to hear someone else is fighting to not worry about every calorie consumed.

I did accomplish my goals today! I had 5 servings of fruit and veggies, water, and stayed within my caloric budget. I wasn't perfect, but could have been worse. Here's the low-down:

Breakfast - 2 egg whites, 1 egg and 1 can of mushrooms + pear
Snack - 1/2 pita w/PB and Banana
Lunch - Turkey sandwhich with 2% cheese and romaine
Snack - Optimum Cranberry Ginger Bar and Celery and natural PB
Supper - Multigrain ricecake, 1/2 box Dots candy, Planters cookies (100 cal)
Snack - 2 ginger snaps (they're actually a healthy kind), apple, fat free yogurt

I did Lower Body Pyramid this morning and went for a 2 mile walk at noon. I just got done with a pottery class and am a MESS, so I gotta shower.

Enjoy your Tuesday, ladies!
:)
