TGIF Violets

This morning was GS Chest/Tris. Arms are shaking.

So what's everyone's weenend plans? I have a family reunion (dh's side) to go to. It will be 110 degrees there and it is outside.

So for this food challenge, do we just post the food eaten the previous day and of course our exercise?

Hope all the knees start to feel better (not "funny").

Sunnydelite, maybe we need to find a dentist and have that tooth extracted?LOL

gotta go

Good Morn Crew,

oooops, didn't make it clean yesterday. Ended up having 2 crystal light lemonades with some tequila and cointreau over ice while sitting with neighbors on the screened in porch. What a great summer night. I think I know that come Tuesday I will be adhering to clean eating and abstaining from all alcohol and processed foods with the exception of one meal per week. I am so ready.

I like the idea of posting previous days food. Sometimes we don't meet our proposed plan for the day, so I like retrospective posting for food.

Is there a way we could give ourselves a little smilely for each clean day that we achieve? That may be motivating. For example, if I have 3 consecutive days of clean eating, then I could post 3 smileys.

:9 :9 :9

What do you think? I'm going to be offline this weekend with lots going on. But I'll check in by Sunday eve and share my 12 week challenge.

Enjoy your weekends!

Sue

Good Morning Jean, Sue and the Challengers to follow.

I have not decided if I will keep a log of my food outside of posting it here. If I do, I would be happy to post the previous day's food. If I don't, I'll have to post as I go along on the current day due to a bad memory!;) LOL Sue and Jean: Do what is best for you. That part of it is no big deal if we do it differently. The smileys are a cute idea! If we ate 100% the day prior we get a smiley the next day and keep adding them as we line up days in a row. If we mess up a day, we have to start over, correct? :)

I just got and previewed Jari Love's Ripped to the Core. After hearing so many excellent reviews in these forums, I can't wait to try it! It's on my agenda for today!}( I was going to do my new work out this morning and then hit the gym with DS to use the elliptical. Well, DS got up early and put a monkeywrench in that plan! LOL I'm definately doing R to the C but not sure what else now...

Plans for this weekend? Tomorrow night my friend and her sister and BIL (and possibly some other people) are going out for dinner and dancing to celebrate her BIL's B'day. DH and I were going to try and snag a sitter and go with them. DH is now working O/T though and will most likely NOT want to go out tomorrow night...or atleast nothing beyond dinner so I'm not sure what I'll be doing. I have to talk to DH and then see about a last minute babysitter if needed...

Other than that my weekend is pretty much open. DH won't be home all day on saturday so I will probably do a bit of cleaning and then go out somewhere for the day.

Morning All!

Jean- I seriously laughed out loud when I read your post about the knees. Only because it is SO not funny! I'm waiting to see if he calls with the results for that and DH's blood work. The place is in the same building as his office so I'm HOPING.
Have a great time at the reunion! I posted a couple pics from mine last weekend. Don't worry about the eating. We'll start Monday.

I like the smiley idea too. But mine will probably look something like this :7:):):-(x( Seriously!! However we post it tho doesn't matter. Just so we're accountable. And don't worry if we mess up! That's what we're here for!

Wendy- enjoy that new workout!! Hope you get to go out dancing tomorrow night!

We are supposed to go up the lake w/ DC and his son, but the weather is supposed to be cooler and chance of showers tomorrow so I don't know.

I took a rest day yesterday cause of my damn knee. So I still have L&G's and Coremax 3 to make up but I'm afraid. I think I'm going to go do my air walker machine and see how that feels. It's better than nothing I guess. I'm thinking I over did it the other day w/ the Kickmax blasts.x( I'll feel better once I know if there is something wrong with my knee or just something I have to deal with. I think.

Well, DH tried to touch up my roots yesterday w/ a Clairol frosting kit, and well........we screwed my hair up bad! I had to go to my stylist and she dyed it completley blonde!! DH loves it but I'm not sure yet.

Hi Sue, SD, Kathy and Karen! And anyone else I may have missed!

Be back later! Have a nice morning!

Hi Violet!

Well, this is just a check in for a few of us who are challenging ourselves. They just finished up a "12 Week Challenge" and decided to keep checking in.

I think Wendy thought of a "Clean Eating Challenge" since a few of us really need a challenge for that. Being accountable really does make a difference. So Monday we're going to start posting what we ate thru out the day, our workouts, goals, and chit chat etc.

Being your name is Violet I think you just have to join us! Hope you do!

Kali

Hey again!:)

Kali, I once highlighted my hair at home. I hated it at first but after a few washings and some plain ol' getting used to it, I ended up liking it. I'll never do it again though! LOL I dye my hair at home but I think frosting/highliting is better left to the professionals!;)

Violet, Oh girl, you are soooo meant to join us with your name being what it is!!! We don't all have to be doing the same challenge. You can do whatever you want. Just announce it for accountability and maybe someone will want to join you!:)

I went to Target this morning. I had a few coupons for things that my grocery store didn't have and I wanted to get. I also picked up a couple of books to read...."Shooting the Moon" and "Memoirs of a Geisha". I was never a reader but I picked up some books a few months back and really enjoyed them and now I'm hooked!:)

thank you wendy and kali. i will be joining starting monday. i need to loose some weight. I will be posting on monday.
thank again.

take care
violet.

Looking forward to seeing you around Violet!:)

Since I started the Clean Eating Challenge idea, I am going to start posting my food today...:)

1) 1/2 banana-shared with DS :+
kashi fiber cereal, fat free milk, coffee, water

2) 1 slice wheat bread, 2 morning star veggie burgers, small amount of low fat mayo, coffee, water

3) banana, natural p/b, water

Well, I finished Ripped to the Core and LOVED it! }( It is an upper body burner for sure! I felt it in my legs alot too but my u/b is big-time FRIED baby...FRIED!!! The ab work at the end was short and skimpy but goodness know Cathe offers enough choices in ab work to make up for it if one chooses to do so!;)It also does not start with a warm-up so I did my own...I think that stinks but the rest of the work out is worth it's couple of short-comings.

I can't wait to get Slim and Lean and give it a try now!:)

Hey Wendy and others!
Hey Violet too! Love the name!!
I would love to join you guys to in the challenge.
Todat is kinda a rest day so I did CM2 and yoga. I am really starting to get into yoga and love it for the stretching and stuff.
Kali, I am sure your hair looks great!

Today so far i have had 1 bowl of Organic raisin bran with fat free milk. I have tried soy milk, but it hasn't grown on me yet!

Then for lunch I had a salad with tuna in it.
I didn't do the morning snack because I was doing housework. But, I am ready for an afternoon one now!
I am thinking a whole wheat/whole grain bagel with PB!

I look foward to getting to know you guys better!

Hey...I copied by meals so far from above and will now add on # 4...

1) 1/2 banana-shared with DS
kashi fiber cereal, fat free milk, coffee, water

2) 1 slice wheat bread, 2 morning star veggie burgers, small amount of low fat mayo, coffee, water

3) banana, natural p/b, water

4) salad containing lettuce, cucumber, turkey, green olives, parm cheese, balsamic vinagrette l/f dressing, cottage cheese...it was SUPER yummy!:9

I just put DS down for an unexpected nap. I was going to try to get to the gym early this evening...around 5...when the daycare starts up again (they don't work every hour the gym is open)but now that DS is napping, that surely won't happen so in a few minutes I'm going to get changed and pop Low Max in. }(

I feel really good after doing Ripped to the Core! I feel like I really accomplished something! WOW, did I ever feel the burn! Woo hoo! I wasn't even using heavy weights and during almost every exercise I either was TEMPTED to lower my weights or DID lower them!!!

Welcome to our check in Meggy! Glad to have you here!:+

Thanks Wendy. So now I really want to buy ripprd video! Thanks alot!

For dinner I had a piece of grilled chicken w/BBQ sauce on whole wheat toast.
I am now enjoying my tea!

Hmmm...more food to post!:9

Bowl of kashi heart to heart cereal, ff milk

A granola bar

Water, Coffee

I did blasts only from LowMax while DS napped before dinner. I added in the warm up and stretch too. For some reason the premix does not have these in there...I wish it did.

Tomorrow I am hoping to get to the gym...not sure if I'll hit the TM or the elliptical yet...I'm going to see how my knee feels. I am thinking it will be fine but I don't want to push it too much so I may split the work out up and do some of both.

Have a great night ladies!:)

Can I join, too? My name's not Violet, but I'm also trying to shrink (tighten) a bit. I've gotta be accountable to someone other than myself. The little devil in my head has been winning out over the little angel a LOT lately!

I love the idea of the smily faces! My goal will be to cover the page!!! We could even have certain smiley faces that stand for 10 days and faces that stand for 25 or 100. What do you think?
