Shoulder problem

Cathe- First, thank you so much for all your wonderful workouts. I haven't been in such good shape since college (and maybe not even then!) My question is concerning my shoulder. I noticed right before Christmas a kind of grinding sensation in my right shoulder when I did any large circular movement. I ignored it and continued working out. The next day my shoulder really hurt. It took several weeks of not doing any kind of rotation with it until it felt better. The grinding sensation is still there. Is there any exercises I can do that will help this? Any advice would be great.
