Shoes

gettingthere

Cathlete
I'm looking for new shoes (again) for step and another pair for walking.

There are so many different brands/models these days I was hoping I could get some 'shoe reviews' before I hit the mall.

I used to be a Ryka die hard, but the last couple I bought were really disappointing.

What does everybody use for Cathe's step and hi/lo workouts?

Thanks,
Liz

I love KSwiss. They're lightweight, have great lateral support, they hold up well and they're affordable.

I have 2 styles. One of them is "Chilton II." The sole is not super-gripping. I originally chose them for the sole, for kickboxing on carpet.

Now I teach step at a gym, and they work perfectly on the hardwood floors.

I am a Ryka die-hard. I founbd Reebok too big for my feet and didn't like the Nike styles. I am currently loving the new Ryka Ryhthm, a top of the line aerobic studio shoe and I wear it for everything. For walking I use a Nike running shoe because I find walking shoes too stiff.

I try on a lot of shoes every time I need some and ASICS turn out to feel the best 9 out of 10 purchases. Last time though, I bought New Balance. I just try on shoes until something is perfect. It's a pain, but it's just something you have to do. Quality shoes are just too important.

Thanks for your input ladies. I think I will bite the bullet and take mogambo's advice. I'll head out to the stores tomorrow and try on everything.

Thanks
Liz
