Shoe rave

I just had to tell you all that, based on a Yahoo recommendation (which I think came from a Shape article?) I got these shoes, & they are fabulous for step:
Reebok ZigNano Fly 2 - Women's - Running - Shoes - Carbon/White/Silver/Major Purple/California Blue

I got them b/c as some of you know from my whiny feet-are-in-pain posts, I thought the way the rubber on the bottom was configured they might help. And they do. :) I don't think I'll ever be able to do step pain-free, but this did alleviate it somewhat (I also have custom orthodics). They're very lightweight & bouncy, although I can't speak to the cushioning b/c of the orthodics. But I would think these would feel really good for someone w/semi-normal feet & the cost is not so bad.

Funny, this is the first pair of non-Asics I've bought in years. In fact, I don't think I've owned a pair of Reeboks since college!

i actually have a pair of these(in youth size) and i actually love them......this was after buying and exchanging about 8-10 pair of shoes that i bought and returned after trying them out once and knowing that each pair that i tried was not right for me.....so i really like them.....and i love the funky combinations:)

Have either of you tried these for high impact work? I am on the hunt for a new pair since they discontinued the Ryka's I loved.

Sorry, no. High impact is no longer part of my routine. Oh how I miss my Cathe cardio! And Amy.......and Tracey.......oh well, no more whining. I've actually really been loving the complex choreo of lower impact workouts, so I suppose every cloud has a silver lining. :)

hi jacmar....yes i have....and that's y i love them, b/c they work for high impact work....that's what i have the hardest time finding was shoes that would work for my high impact work....and these work wonderful for me:)

Laura, happy to hear they work great for you. Sorry you're still have problems though. :( It's so great when you find a shoe that "works"! Hope you are doing well. We will miss you!

Hi to Mrsyancy! See you soon!

I have to cut down drastically on the high-impact workouts, too, Laura. I still do them, but with modifications. So,... I was wondering which complex choreo lower impact workouts do you do and recommend? I really like Amy, too, and Seasun as well. I just have one of Seasun's, so don't know if her other step workouts are high impact or not. (I have her Straight Up Step & it's not too bad as far as high impact goes).

And, I will be checking out those shoes -- I've got a bunion starting to happen:(, so, I have to take better care of my feet, too!

Thank you!
