I just had to tell you all that, based on a Yahoo recommendation (which I think came from a Shape article?) I got these shoes, & they are fabulous for step:
Reebok ZigNano Fly 2 - Women's - Running - Shoes - Carbon/White/Silver/Major Purple/California Blue
I got them b/c as some of you know from my whiny feet-are-in-pain posts, I thought the way the rubber on the bottom was configured they might help. And they do. I don't think I'll ever be able to do step pain-free, but this did alleviate it somewhat (I also have custom orthodics). They're very lightweight & bouncy, although I can't speak to the cushioning b/c of the orthodics. But I would think these would feel really good for someone w/semi-normal feet & the cost is not so bad.
Funny, this is the first pair of non-Asics I've bought in years. In fact, I don't think I've owned a pair of Reeboks since college!
