shoe question

I posted here a couple of days ago asking for advice on shoes. I have since purchased and received a pair of Ryka Rhythm shoes. I just did my first workout with them. They feel a little weird - they are higher on my ankle than my old shoes (which I'm sure is good). I'm just wondering - will my feet and ankes adjust to the new height of the shoe or should I consider another pair? I hate to wear them to the point where I can't return them and then figure out that my feet just won't cope!

Thanks,
Amy

Is it justthat it's because you're not used to high-tops? If that's the case, your feet will get used to them. If they are causing you any pain, then I would return them. Whenever I go back to high-tops after being in the "regular" cut, it takes me a little while to get used to them. I really do prefer the high-tops and will definitely go that route next time. (my current pair are some that were given to my stepmother and she never used them).
