Shereta's November Checkin

I can't believe that I am home from work and actually thought about eating some chips. I've got to get a grip on my actions. I know good and well eating chips will not help me reach my goals. I'm so glad I fought that craving. I have eaten very well today. I even ate a donut (which is probably why I was craving those chips). I did add that in to my total calories today and will have to have a smaller dinner portion tonight. Oh well. It was good and well worth those calories.

I will say busy until 5:45 which is when my next meal is scheduled for. I will eat slowly - enjoying every bite. Then, I will get up, clean the kitchen and begin preparations for tomorrow's food and clothing choices.

I really believe that one day next year, I will reach my sign on name: gonna be a 5. But, it all starts right now - not after this last dessert or after Thanksgiving or at the new year. It has to start now or it'll never start and finish.

I'm sick of being heavy. And the thing is - over the last month, I've gained 5 pounds. What?!?!? While training for a 10K!?!?!? That's just crazy. I know I've not watched my portion sizes and eaten healthily. I've got to control my food intake, get adequate rest and follow through on my workouts.

Now, I'm off to clip coupons, play piano and do laundry until 5:45. But, man, I'm so hungry.
 
Woohoo, junk weight is coming off after one day of eating good.

workout was 2.25 miles. It was hard. Lookin forward to a longer run on Friday. I've realized that I have to warm up on the treadmill to loosen up the calvea, thighs and shins.

no workout today. woke up late. Eating was pretty good, but didn't get enough veggies in. Weights tomorrow. yeah
 
Great workout today with HSC weights only. The only thing I don't like about this workout are the one armed triceps pushups on the floor. Hate that part, but I know they're effective.

We're out of town tomorrow returning on monday. Tuesday's workout should include weights, Wednesday will be a short cardio and of course Thursday the big run. Woohooooooo
 
Back from our trip to Ohio. Tomorrow will be weights. I'm so excited about the big run on Tday. I feel like once I get this behind me I can really start a good training program for the next one.
 
That's one thing I hate about traveling; restricted blood flow to legs causing swelling, water retention and bloat from inactivity. So, needless to say my weight is up a litle from when I last weighed in. Oh well. It should pass in a day or two.

Today's workout was MMax. I burned 586 calories and feel totally worked out. Tomorrow will be a short cardio. Maybe 30/30.

My new dvds should be hear tomorrow.

I have lots to do today, so I'd better get cracking.
 
Workout today was HiiT Pyramid. I'm so outta shape, but I finished it all. Woohoo. The 10K is tomorrow. I still can't believe Im going to do it.

My new dvds came in already. I was looking at the covers of the dvds and Cathe's face looks weird on three of three. It's like they tried to brush it up, but she looks a weird.

I'll probably do high reps on Friday if I can move.

It's done! My first 10K!

A few months ago, I said I wanted to do things differently during my second 45 years of my life, and I am. This is just the start.

Today, at the age of 45 and 190.5 lbs, I've ran my first 10K! I was cheesing from ear to ear as I neared the finish line and crossed it at 1:19.45.

I spent 9 1/2 years in the Marine Corps when I was younger. I marched, hiked and ran many miles whenever and whereever they told me to. But, today, I've never been more proud of myself. I never, ever do great, big things just for me; just because I want to. Never. But, I did today. This run for totally for me. I did this for me, and me only. And, I feel so accomplished.
 
Today's workout was the UB premix in High Reps. It was missing the backwork. I opened a thread on Cathe's New and Upandcoming workouts hoping someone would help me see my error. SNM responded to say the back work is in the Upper Body full body first Premix. My bad, I thought Back was normally a part of upper body. lol

Anywho, after the 10K yesterday, we ate, I took a nap and then got up to cook Tday dinner. I'm so glad I kept moving because I know it helped the muscles stay limber and not tighten up. Today, I am experiencing some light tightness in inner thighs, quads and obliques. But, all in all, am feeling pretty good.

I'll attempt Intensity tomorrow.

I refuse to gain weight this holiday season. I will keep up the great workouts, get plenty of rest, lots of water and eat in moderation. Of course I'll stay honest and post daily weight. It just intrigues me.
 
Today's workout was STS Total Body. I really enjoyed the format. I followed along effortlessly. It was my first time using the paper plates and felt my core kicking in the stablize the leg work. Very good.

My eating was pretty good today, altho I have done the opposite of what I wanted which was to add a few pounds to my chubby frame. Ugh, the holidays. Oh well, it's not like I havent been here before and will no doubt get it back off.

Tomorrow should be a 3 mile run.
 
Today's workout is done. Core Cardio Circuit. Calorie Burn = 631. Wow. Now, I have to just make sure I eat very clean - or very close to clean today.

I just couldn't go into that cold garage to run. Maybe on Wednesday. I'll have to remember to put the space heater in there when I firs wake up.
 
today's workout is complete: Lower Body Blast. I heard some things come our of my mouth I've never heard before: ugh, brommdk, d23i3kn kd lol
 
I burned 567 calories with LBB this morning. I really loved this work. It brings new meaning to no muscles left untouched. I did, however, sling my band at the tv when we were done with floor work. Dang, that stuff stung. i really loved that we didn't do a lot of reps on one type of move. We hit a muscle hard then moved on.
