The one by the Prudential Center?
If it is the same one(Dalton Street??), it's one of the better gyms. They have a stength area with various single body part machines, smith machine, benches, some free weights and plenty of decent cardio equipment. Some treadmills in that stength area, but also past the pool are more treads and bikes/ellipticals.
They charge for the use of the strength stuff, I don't think it was all that bad though???
If you are going to the Hynes Conference Center, they have an island right out in front of the entry doors..it's all terminals for free internet access..if you need a Cathe fix;-).
If you haven't been to that area before, I highly recommend making reservations at "The Top of the Hub" it's the restaurant on the top floor of the Prudential..nice view, wonderful food..yes pricey;-)..but worth it. They have a $15 cookie tray to finish your meal with..and it's enough to feed 4! The cookies are fresh out of the oven served with this incredible whipped cream...:9.
Another quick more casual experience for food is Dicks Last Resort..you'll find the sign over by the California Pizza Kitchen in the Mall area leading towards the Marriot and you have to go outside and around the corner(follow the sign)...it's worth the experience!LOL
BTW..we didn't have the best experience with the hotel..they don't have a formal training program with the staff...and it showed. Plus they couldn't give us the non-smoking rooms, even though the reservations were made 9 months in advance and there was mold on one of our room service breakfasts. It just seemed to be too many little problems:-(.
Hope you enjoy your stay
