On August 8, 2014 at about 2 AM - 5am EST we will be doing some server maintenance to our main Cathe.com server. The downtime should be less than 10 minutes but more or less not even noticeable if things go well.
The work engineers will be doing on early Friday morning is the first phase of creating an enterprise server network for Cathe.com to handle future Cathe Live and OnDemand expansions as well as to create a more reliable and faster server network.
Because more of you are depending on streaming for your workouts we need a better server solution than what we currently have and one that will carry us forward for the next 10 years. With our new system when our primary server fails a secondary server will automatically kick in. Nobody, including Amazon or Google can promise 100% up-time, but we're doing everything we can to approach 100% reliability and to have an option to quickly restore service in the event a disaster strikes our primary server.
Because we're not only upgrading the server, but also the software for the server there is also a possibility that some things will not work correctly after the Phase 1 upgrade. If this is the case just let us know and we will correct any issue that arises as quickly as possible.
