Good morning ladies..

Getting us started this morning...

Today is Disc 8 for me: Back and triceps. Also, weights & plates abs..

Be back later after I get the kids up and started on school lessons and everything...

Hey Kathy!!

Hey Everyone!!!

VILMA!: Saw your post last night. good to *see* you!!! Miss ya!

Today is my first STS Leg Workout: DISC 3. *sigh*. Tonight , we are going to the big New England State fair with TONS of walking, hope I can do it after this workout!!

Kathy: Work those Tri's and Back!!! *shudder* on the Weights and Plates abs... (though I do like the 'weights' part)

BBL!!!

Good morning! Chris, you have such memories of weights & plates! I can't remember it at all, which makes me think maybe I started it and gave up on it (I think I have a vague memory of that!). I'll have to try it again one of these days. How was it for you, Kathy?

I had cardio this morning -- Chris, surprisingly, I wasn't all that sore as I was last week when I did STS 3 -- not sure that makes you feel any better since that's what you're doing today! Good luck with all of the walking later -- I'm sure the fair will be fun! Are you going after school? I saw a picture of some park in Maine in Runner's World, I think it was -- so beautiful! I wondered if you'd ever been there. Can't remember the name of it, so oh well!

It was very hard for me to get out of bed this morning -- I didn't sleep all that well, so I was tempted just to stay in bed, but I decided I'd do KCM cardio blast and that got me going. I stuck with a 30 minute this time-- the athletic step. To be honest, I think most of the premix I did last week was built from this one, so it didn't seem all that different to me, but it was fun and that's what's important. Ended up doing some abs and stretching afterward, so it was an hour "workout" -- that's how I've been doing my cardio lately -- half cardio/half stretch and/or abs. How was your run yesterday, Chris -- did you keep it shorter? Sorry, you probably posted -- yesterday afternoon was a little nuts here, so I can't remember.

I do remember seeing from Vilma! Hi Vilma!!

Good morning to Hottie and Joanne -- how are you guys doing?

Today is my work-at-school/stay-at-home-to-do-paperwork-and-chores day! You know what that means..... I'll probably be able to pop in more frequently as I procrastinate. ;)

HI ladies..

Chris and Beth: I am not crazy about the plate part of that ab work. Probably because it is tough. But, I usually suffer through it!! I will be doing it later..

Chris: Have a great leg workout! I was so sore from that one. Even that same day. Good luck with the walking...Have fun at the fair. Sounds great!

Beth: Sorry to hear you didn't sleep well. At least you didn't have to go into the office after a sleepless night. Good for you getting that workout in even with no sleep!

Ok, the kids are doing their lessons. So, quickly....Had a great dinner with my sister last night. We went to Macaroni Grill. So good. I ate too much of course! It was good to see her. She goes home tomorrow after she is done with work. So, we won't get to visit with her again. Glad we got to have dinner last night..Today, the kids have PE class. I am going to try to get in another little run if I can squeeze it in while they are at class..

Anyway, back to teaching...

Hi ladies! Hi Vilma - good to hear from you!! Hope school is going well and your family is all helping you out!

I remember struggling with the plates part of weights and plates, too, and most likely, giving up! ;)

Kathy, sounds like a nice time with your sister. I'm not sure if we have any Macaroni Grills around here, although I have heard of them. Have fun with those plates! ;)

Beth, I was tempted to stay in bed, too. I actually reset the alarm for an hour later after it went off, but wound up getting up after I couldn't fall back asleep. I'm always procrastinating here, so I'll be around if you want to chat!

Chris, the state fair sounds fun. Lots of walking though, after STS legs!

I was planning to do either P57 - the full workout, or KCM's New You Coming. Well, by the time I got up I only had 40 minutes, so I did the 2nd workout in KCM's muscle definition and added on the abs. Those were tough!! Good workout, though. I'm planning to use the treadmill during my lunch.

Hi Hottie!

BBL...

Hey Guys!!

I made it through!!

I was kind of surprised by it, because I kind of LIKED it! I'd forgottten it reminded me a bit of B&G because of the variety. I like the different moves, going from one to the other, and not lingering on one too long (endless reps and pulses, which end up pissing me off! LOL!) . I totally forgot the bonus work. that was tough, but cool! My legs are stiff-ish now, even after doing the Extended Stretch after. Oh well, what can I do? Maybe all the walkign tonight will keep the loose? (I can dream!)

Beth: I do remember those plates on W&P's SO well! Because I can't freakin DO them!!! LOL!!! i think I did do (or try to do) that one a few times though. Trying is good, right? .... Your cardio sounds great this morning. I will get KCM's new workouts one of these days! I've been growing envious of the UPS Truck going by my house and not stopping ;). Though i did order a nice warm fleeced line hoodie from LL Bean last night :). ... I think your Cardio time/stretch/abs is perfect! My run yesterday was awesome! The first 5 minutes , as usual, were my toughest. I just don't FEEL it in the beginning. I want to quit, in fact I HATE it. And then something kicks in, and it's heaven! Like I could run to CA and back! I did a few hills, not a lot on intervals. Mostly steady state. It felt great, I loved my music!. Ended up doing 45 minutes, but that includes the warm up (walk & stretch for 5 minutes) and the cool down & stretch (5 minutes). ...... My sleep sucked last night too. Zach's blood sugar was almost 300 at midnight, after it being LOW before bed. And then was still high at 3:30a. I thought about just leaving it, even went to bed, but it kept gnawing at me, so I went back in his room and made him go check ketones in his urine. It was negative (good thing), but I was WIDE freakin awake, and really didn't drift off until about 5am, alarm went off at 5:50. Ugh. ..... The fair should be fun! I will admit, I'm going to eat. can't go and not. But it's going to be COLD (50's), and I don't do "COLD" well. I'm bringing mittens and a scarf!!

Kathy: ThankS! i hope we have a good time today, I hope I don't freeze me ass off! ;) The dinner with your sis sounds nice! We don't have a macaroni grill here either, but I've heard of it too. It's partners with Chili's or something? Or maybe On the Border? I've seen it out near boston. I miss my sister !!!... She lives near Boston , though I just did see her a few weeks ago.

Joanne
: Sounds like you picked a good workout today! Shorter, but better!! It'll be nice to get a run in , if you can!!

Morning guys! So, I had a really nice time tutoring last night -- I think I'm just a bit happier because I'm home and Evee is there as a nice distraction but it's actually more fun I think tutoring this girl because she understands less so I get to teach her more. I actually am pretty happy with my current arrangement -- I'm teaching my three fav subjects: biochem, molecular biology, and ochem. But man, right after she left I crash and didn't wake up until about 6a. It's finally "cool" so I don't have to worry about the A/C bill! yay! I didn't have the time to do an STS workout this morning so I'm going to try and do what I did on Monday. A small cardio workout in a little bit and then STS in the evening. But I have to say, the house is not doing so well. With me working so much more intensely at lab and trying to pick up hours here and there for tutoring, I have no time for housework when I get home. And even though I slept so well I'm still sleepy now! Ahh, funny how the body works. (Funny how I ate with no control last night even when I was full...)

Kathy -- I will join on that later tonight! I'm very excited to work my tri's!
Chris -- at least the fair is tonight and not tomorrow! Yeah, that was the workout where I was like, NO BONUS WORK! :)
Beth -- hey! it sounds like you can do the choreo of another instructor besides Cathe! Do you think its all these crazy temperature changes that's affecting our sleep? I mean, it was over 100 three days ago and this morning my house was less than 70 degrees.
Joanne -- that's cool that you got a workout in. If my schedule gets screwed up in the morning, it just doesn't happen. Maybe you and I will be on a cardio machine at the same time...
HI VILMA!!!!

I'm back from school -- unfortunately things were a mess there this morning so I couldn't do what I needed to do so have to go back an hour early this afternoon! Oh well.

Yes, the temperature drop was crazy -- the high dropped 30 degrees from one day to the next, and now we're down about 10 more degrees -- 50s here, too, Chris! But perhaps higher than yours.... mittens?!:D That is a good point that walking around this afternoon may actually help with your DOMs, plus.... now that you mentioned the extended stretch.... I did it this week after legs, but not last week, so perhaps that's part of what helped me, too, so it will help you!

Kathy, sounds like a fun evening with your sister -- yay!

Joanne, isn't it nice that you got to stay in bed a little extra AND get in a workout? That's what I was happy about this morning. Oh, and Hottie, no, I cannot do another instructor's choreography -- there isn't really any choreography to speak of in this workout -- that's why I like it so much!!! :p

Chris, your run sounded so terrific! Next week after you make it through the first five minutes, you keep going to California, girl, and I will buy you lunch at Opa! Spend the night here and we'll put you on the first plane east in the morning. ;)

Nice on the tutoring, Hottie! Glad you are enjoying it. Housework, shmousework..... I'd better go do some of my own!!!
