Good morning ladies..

Sorry I was MIA yesterday..Hubby is works from home on Tuesday's and sometimes I can't get to my computer..I took Lauren and went on some errands yesterday. She wanted a new comforter and sheets for her bed. So, she picked them out at Target..She also got some new shoes for church....

I got Low Max in yesterday. Man, is that a leg workout. I do enjoy it though. But, it is tough!! Today is Disc 5: Back and triceps!!

Be back later..

Good morning! For a minute there I thought I was going to have to start the thread!

Chris, did you bring your cooties here?! My throat hurts, and now this morning I am queasy, which almost never happens to me. But I don't have the muscle aches you had. How are you today? Already gone to class, I guess..... hope it went well!!

I did my shoulder yoga this morning -- started to do some waist/ab work, but immediately felt queasy, so I stopped that! I think Larry is sick, now too. Bummer!

I'm off to get my hair cut and colored this morning -- I so need it. Hope you all enjoy your workouts and your day!

Beth: Oh yuck! I hope you don't get sick!! Maybe you caught something from Travis..How is he doing? Feel better soon...Enjoy that hair appointment. I got mine trimmed and shaped up yesterday. So did Lauren...

hi all! sorry for the whine post yesterday -- I just needed to get it out. Some crazy drama happened here after I wrote that too (another grad student in the lab was denied support though he's senior to all of us). I'm a little worried about how I'm going to be able to do that's all on my plate now but we'll see. I really hope i won't have to give up on STS.

So, we got in extra early because of Joe's drs appt. I have to go pick him up around 3. Doing an experiment here and there and brought a gym bag to do some cardio in a little bit. Today may have to be a paperwork catch up day since I'm meeting with my boss on Friday and I have a lot of stuff to process for him. Cross your fingers -- I'm really hoping for something good on the experiment I did yesterday.

Beth -- i hope you feel better soon! Enjoy the hair pampering!
Kathy -- I'll be joining on you on that one in the afternoon/evening after we're done with Joe's drs appt. Actually, it was funny -- Joe did Monday's workout last night and he groaned at one point, you don't do the pushups do you? And I was, "on my knees but some on my toes." "WHAT?!??" But then he couldn't muster the energy or drive to do any! :)

Good morning ladies!

(((Hottie))) I hope you get the recognition you deserve and don't have to teach! Go ahead and whine - I do it all the time!! ;)

Beth, uh oh, not you too! How is Travis feeling? Back to school? I hope your cooties don't stay around too long. Take your advice to Chris and take it easy till you feel better. ;) I so need my hair colored and cut - just can't seem to find the time! It's a mess. I love watching the kids play sports, too. It's weird, I never played any sports as a kid, so I don't know what my parents would have done, but DH and his siblings did and his parents rarely went to any of their stuff. Same thing with his cousins. They would drop them off and pick them up if they didn't have a ride. I hate to miss any of the kids games, concerts, anything. I don't know, where things just different then? I can't imagine not wanting to be there.

Kathy, you're all making me want to do LowMax.

Today I did Core Cardio and Balance from Insanity. That's the workout you're supposed to do 6 days in a row during the recovery week before month two. It was pretty good, but I don't think I can do any workout 6 days in a row. I may do it one more time this week. I want to get some P57 in and maybe a run or two, then start Month 2 of Insanity Monday.

Ian went to school again today, but I can tell he's not 100%. No fever, so off he went. I'm feeling kind of sniffly today - time to start popping the Zicam and vitamins! This is going to be a nasty cold/flu season, I think.

Off to do some work...

Joanne

Aww thanks Joanne. I feel better because I put 30 mins on the elliptical and for a change something (I think) worked. Unfortunately, something that should have been easier isn't so I'm redoing it (sort of) again. I'm so exhausted -- we got in so early today. I'll be gone in less than three hours and there's still one experiment I have to do left so I should stop futzing soon.

Man, hearing you guys makes me so happy that for once I'm not sick! (Well, I'm sick of a lot of things...my phd, my boss, my husband, just not ill.)

It's funny...my sister and I weren't allowed to do sports or things like that when we were young and I still don't get the appeal to go to your kids game! Gosh, I'm terrible! And I thought maybe this would change when I my own kids but then my sister is texting me in the middle of my oldest niece's soccer game about how boring it was! I wonder if its just us...we get so bored sooo easily. I also wonder if its gets better when the kids get better...my mother once mentioned she actually "enjoyed" going to my concerts when I actually sounded good. Yes, I'm a terrible person.

Blech, daddy's home (that's my line for when my boss strolls in after 12p)...

Hey Guys,.

Today was quite a day (and it's not over!).

I got up, felt crappy, but pushed myself through my shower and getting the boys 1/2 ready for school and downed a coffee and Cream of Wheat (usually not my choice, stomach is still weird). I kept pep talking myself on the commute in.

Told the girl leading the class that I wasn't feeling great. She did say in case of illness they could do a one on one makeup class. But I was there already. So thought I'd stay.

The morning was tough. Lecture, blah blah blah blah. Stomach ick ick ick, Head ick ick ick. But I didn't have to move, so that made things tolerable.

Made it to Lunch time! I ate a roll and a small bag of pretzels. (they had a LOVELY caesar chicken salad, but for some reason salad REALLY turns me off since being sick).

I'm just about done, and my cell rings. It's the nurse at Zach's school! he's sick! Curled up in a ball, can't eat lunch, feels horrible, looks sick (pale and clammy). His blood sugar is fine. So here's payback, i guess , for me doing a late show for Greg to go to work last Thursday. HE WAS HOME AFTER WORKING ALL NIGHT AND WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 'ON CALL' FOR THE BOYS IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. HE HAD THE DAMN PHONE TURNED OFF!!! OMG, called and called and called, no answer! I spoke to Karen, in charge of the class, and they decided it would be ok if I took the test home and then made arrangements to return it (it's open book anyways). ....

Grabbed all my shit, walk across 2 parking lots to the parking garage, STILL calling Greg. Got in my car, and drove about 5 minutes, and FINALLY HE ANSWERED! ... he agreed to go pick up Zach. I turned around and went back and took the test!!

Guess what I got?

100 freakin %!!!!!

can you believe it? I was soooo wound up and stressed and worried about Zach WHILE taking the test.

Anyways, I'm home. I did feel so wired on the way home I thought about doing STS LEgs. No way. My head is messed up. I feel all foggy still and my stomach is off.

I thought about doing 2 things. 1. Doing Legs tomorrow, Biceps & back on Friday, and Cardo on Saturday. or 2. Throwing in the towel, and taking it easy for the rest of the week. Doing light workouts if I feel better, and RE-starting STS from the beginning on Monday.

I 'm leaning towards #2 option.

Kathy
: You go on Back and Bi's today!!! You're doing great! Sounds like a fun girls only shopping adventure yesterday!

Beth: NO! you're not getting sick too? I'm sorry. I guess I didn't cover my mouth when I coughed yesterday!... Please take it easy. Take Ziacam or vitamins or whatever you think!!! ..That stomach crap is for the birds!

Joanne: I could NEVER do one workout all week! that's...INSANE! LOL!. P57 sounds like a good mix up to do. I hope Ian and you are ok!! damn bugs!!

Hottie: What a discombobulation at work. How can they be so inconsistant? Vent away, anytime! I'm sorry you're having to deal with all of that. LOL @ "daddy's home"!!

I better go eat something... BBL ..sorry for the crazy babble...

Thanks, Hottie!!!! :)

The KICKER is, GREG was so exhausted because he got little sleep today after work, HE WENT TO BED, and I'M STUCK WITH EVERYTHING now!

Hey! Travis is much better -- bouncing around like normal. Larry worked from home today -- he's got it too. I felt pretty fine once I got out of the house until just recently. I didn't each lunch until late -- ate it about an hour ago and now I'm queasy again. Strange! But, Chris, all germ-spreading jokes aside, I don't think it's the same as yours because none of us are nearly as wiped out as you sounded. It must be the laid-back California version! ;)

Joanne, that is just pure crazy thinking that someone could do the same dvd six days in a row!!! I wonder if anyone who doesn't take money from BB has ever done it!

The sports thing.... I was on the swim team, and my mom usually came to the meets when I was young, but when I was in high school she barely ever did, but.... to be fair.... she worked, and they were held on school/work days, and honestly I didn't really want her there much anyway. :) I wonder when my kids are going to feel that way about me! Hottie, your sister's kids are still pretty young, right? The sports are pretty darn boring at that stage, but it gets better and better as they get better.

Chris, what a crazy day!!! How is Zach now? How are you? Awesome job on the test, woman! Does Greg know he's in the dog house?

I'm getting really psyched to do something, Chris, even if I have to go really light on some exercises. If you decide to take your second approach, I'm there with you.... depending on how I feel stomach-wise, maybe I'll do the new KCM MD tomorrow and see how that goes. Hopefully I won't screw myself up worse!

She dried my curly hair straight and now I don't recognize myself! She cut more than I would have liked.... is that just always the case?! The color looks good though -- you could see about an inch of roots in mine, Joanne!

Hmm...am I laid back now that I've been CA for ten years...probably...but not compared to other californians! I'm trying to get psyched too now that I've had some downtime. Doing 9 hrs at work even two hours earlier than normal is still draining. Up on tap -- STS and then lots of data processing. And wishing I had done it earlier...(both)

Beth -- I want pictures!

Chris: Wow! What a day!! I think your option #2 sounds like the smartest option. After how sick you have been and are, you need to recoupe!! Get better..Sending hugs your way!!

Beth: Yes, they always cut too short...So, I told the lady yesterday to cut it a little longer than I wanted it. That worked..Glad Travis is better. Hope hubby and you are ok..

Boy, do I hate that you can't see the first page of the thread when responding to the posts. I can't remember all that information!!

Anyway, part 2 of my post..

Hottie...I know about those pushups..I was like you have got to be kidding!! I do them all on my toes when there is such LARGE quantities of them. I won't make it otherwise!!

Joanne: I don't think I could do the same DVD for 6 days..That is just boring! Hope you make it through...
