Hi ladies..

Who is feeling Disc 1? I have DOMS in the chest. Always do after all those pushups. My shoulders I can feel. But, not as much as the chest muscles. Biceps are ok with slight DOMS. It is going to be tough raising my arms during today's workout which for me will be IMAX 2. I guess if everyone is following the cardio rotation we are all doing IMAX 2 today..

Anyway, it felt good to get back into STS again...

Joanne: I am so sorry to hear that Jameson is still not well. I pray that he will be back to normal soon..Hugs to you!!

Be back later..

Hey Kathy!!

Hey everyone!!!

Yes, I'm already starting to feel DISC 1! It's all coming back to me from last time. All those push ups really make my lats sore!! I do feel my chest too and when I move my arms, my biceps talk back to me! (and OOP! there's my shoulders too!!)

I looked at the rotation and realized... I didn't do "No Equipment Abs" yesterday!! Did you , Kathy or hottie?... So today I will do some ab work (haven't decided which though), and instead of IM2 today, I'm going to go for a nice run at the park. The day is so perfect for it, ...GOTTA!!!

Joanne: I'd be thinking I'd get tired of the same Insanity stuff after a month too. Good you're back in it and moving on ! I've read that people are really liking the new KCM stuff!...sounds tough!.... I'm sooooo sorry to hear Jameson is not doing so great. A bad pneumonia will certainly knock the strongest of people down, Joanne. I've had patients that have had bad pain where the pneumonia is for a while too. I actually had pneumia years ago, and coughed so hard and so much that I cracked a rib (OMG, that HURT forEVER!). You don't think he may have a small fractured rib? ... I understand you feeling bad that he's missing school. I had a depressed/sinking feeling when Zach was out of school the last week and was so sick. Just keep following up with the doctor. Don't be afraid to call if you're worried!!

Morning guys! Eeek! So, I told Joe that I wanted to wake up early so I could work out before going into work and then later found out that this tutoring agency that cold emailed me on the weekend (I should explain that story eventually) wanted me to come in Tuesday night which means everything got screwed around if I needed to get everything done. So INSTEAD of going to bed early, I was watching old 50s movies off of youtube and then when I went to bed I couldn't fall asleep and overheated through the night because I was so worried about not getting sleep! Eek, you're your own worst enemy!

But I'm packing up a gym bag and going to go to the school gym during one of the incubation steps. It's not IM2 but I just did IM2 on Friday so it's too terrible. I don't like to go the gym as much for cardio (much prefer it for weights) because I can't seem to push my own heart rate without Cathe. I guess she's my crutch.

Oh, and I do feel something in my pecks so I guess I did work my chest after all...

Joanne -- man, I hope Jameson gets better. I can't imagine how frustrating and scary it may be. Good for you getting your workout in. Keep us updating...(I'm sorry about that Bears loss too...::shudder::...and Urlacher is out! <sniff>)

Kathy -- I really was hoping I could do IM2 but I think I'll just catch up with you later this week. Enjoy that workout!

Chris -- no, I don't have the Abs dvd. Is it very tough? I still can't do ab work from Cathe...

Good morning, all! Joanne, I'll echo everyone else's good thoughts about Jameson -- I hope he starts feeling better today! And Chris, you ARE the pretty nurse! :D

Sounds like you STSers are feeling good! Yea! Enjoy your cardio today. I did a mish-mosh this morning -- light cardio warmup, a lot of stretching, a little bit of barre work. My hamstrings are sore!

Everyone is up early here at my house, so I'll keep this short.... have a good one!

Chris: Yes, I did get to that no equipment ab work done yesterday. Today will just be Imax 2...Enjoy that run. Yesterday I took the kids to the track and had them run to practice for their mile run they have to do in PE class. Lauren did a run walk thing..Chris ran 3 out of 4 laps (4 laps is the mile) and I did all 4 laps running..Then I walked a couple while I waited for the kids to finish up..Felt great. I thought I might do it again on Wednesday while I wait for them at PE..We are for sure doing it every Monday after drawing lessons! My legs were a little soreish this morning too..

Hottie: Enjoy your workout..I find I get more intense with Cathe too. I need her to keep me going. So, I totally understand needing that crutch. At least you are getting something workout in today. Good for you!

Beth: Good workout! Have a great day too!!

Chris, I saw your update about Zach -- how's he doing? That sucks!

I figured out that netflix does have that shoulder shape up that the OP of the rehab thread so highly recommended, so that is going to be on its way to my house tomorrow. Whoo-hooo!

Hey Girls!

So I did do as promised: No Equipment Abs first, and then I headed out to the park for a run! I did a LOT of stair intervals all around the ducks. They were chillin/sleeping in the swamp area, so no geese nipping at my heals (though I imagined them to be and ran up the stairs faster!). The day is amazing here... Sunny, 70's, breeze. Oh so sweet! Those endorphins were kickin at the end of my 50 minutes, I felt like a million bucks! (but tired!!!!). I picked up a few things at the grocery store, and then came home, ate some lunch. My new challenge is to eat a vegetable mid-day. I'm good with eating fruits, but don't do veggies until supper usually. So that's my self challenge! I did it today, ate a raw red pepper. (though it didn't taste 'right', and I only ate 1/2 of it).

I figured out this afternoon that I have an educational "thing" tomorrow... ALL DAY, from 8:30a-5p! Holy crap! I'm going to have to get up at the crackass of dawn and do Disc 2!!!! I'm not used to that ... hope I don't kill myself with the weights. Oh I don't want to be gone all day, either. I have it next Wednesday too! Ick ick ick!!!

Hottie: Sorry about your crappy sleep. I didn't sleep good either. As Beth said, Zach was sick all afternoon and evening last night. I did his blood sugar at 12a (after falling asleep at 10:45) and it was 408!!! I'm freaking out thinking he's getting sick, SICK! (Plus he looked sick/pale/pasty).He didn't have ketones , so I gave him insulin, and I waited until 3am to check him again. I slept fitfully , kept worrying about Zach. He was better , but still high at 3a. Got up at 5:45, and he was back to "normal". But damn, I slept like shit, and I was really tired too! .... Hope you get your cardio in today! i saw on FB your wrist is killing you again? How is it, did you work it out? ..... Oh never mind about Abs Circuits. It's got some tough stuff on it, mixed in with "ok" stuff. I had a little trouble with No Equipment Abs because of my neck soreness, but got through ok. I HATE those moves where you're supposed to be on the "soft part" of your "ass" and then pike up your legs. I never find a good spot on my ass, and my hip digs in and burns.

Kathy: WTG on the extra runs yesterday! That's cool you have a track to run on with the kids! Great little 'extra' to throw in when ya can!

Beth: Thanks for the pretty nurse comment. You made me smile! I never "feel" pretty at 3am at work, since I'd been up for 20 hours and am draggin butt! LOL!. So only the little old men think I'm pretty then! ;). Your mish mosh sounds good! I actually DID do some stretching after my tea this afternoon. i was feeling soooooo tight and stiff, I had to! And I did feel better. Cool BEANS that shoulder video is on Netflix!!! How is your shoulder feeling ?

So to finish Zach's story, he said he felt "ok" this morning, but was a little groggy and his neck hurt (i'm sure from weird sleep position). AND his throat was a "little" sore. His appetite wasn't 100% either. But everything else was ok. No fever. He went to school and I kept my ear out all day thinking I'd get a call from him at school. But he made it through. Came home and said he felt "fine". Weird. But GOOD weird, that he didn't get sicker or have any flu-bug!

Thinking about supper... hmmmm...what should I make?????

Hi all. Thanks (again!) for all the good wishes for Jameson. I was a bit frantic last night. I'm so worried about his pain. I went to bed, had this weird thought that maybe he had a pulmonary embolism and jumped on the computer to search it. Yes, I'm losing my mind! No connection with that and pneumonia, in case you were wondering. ;) I called home and talked to him, he said it still hurts.

Chris, what happened with Zach? Hope he's OK. That's a thought about maybe Jameson damaged a rib coughing. Could be. It's good to know that you've had patients with pain for awhile. Well, not good for them, but you know what I mean. I love the new KCM stuff! Fun and just difficult enough where it works, but you're not dreading it. She posted a rotation that I might do sometime after all my other planned rotations. ;)

Ack...have to run...just realized my review is in five minutes. I'll be back to chat with everyone else...

Joanne

Hey! Chris, sounds like you had a fantastic run -- good for you! And after a bad night of sleep -- that's impressive. Kathy, yes, it's great that you can get some extra runs in, too.... fun to do that with the kids. Did I tell you guys we all played soccer this weekend? It was the three of us (Larry, Dylan, me) against Travis, and Travis won!!! We were so pathetic. And then I did a really hard kick not far from Travis and it hit him right in the face -- that was the end of that!!

Glad to hear Zach is better today -- lots of kids sick at our school apparently -- some ear infections going around! Joanne, is Jameson any better today? You must have had a horrible night worrying about the pulmonary embolism possibility!! How'd your review go?

I'd better go put groceries away and get a load of laundry done...... oh boy!!
