September 08 Check-in ::: Sept 4th :::

Thanks, Kathy.. again..

I had a kind of nice supper, but I took on too much. My toe throbbed the WHOLE time, the kids were crazy, and I was grumpy because hubby pretty much just came down from sleeping (I KNOW he only had 5 hours sleep, but still), and didn't lift a freakin finger to help me! :mad:

So, okay. Does the cut have ANY redness or swelling or tenderness? If it does, it could be from the cut. OR.. are there any red streaks leading from the cut down your arm or hand? If not, maybe you do just have a 'bug'. It certainly sounds like a 'bug'. Are you having chills? You should take your temperature... And REST! And drink plenty of liquids!

Oh yeah. I asked the doctor how long my toe would take to heel and he said "About a month". My boss told me her son broke his BIG toe, and it hurt like hell for 2 days, and then it was OK. So I'm hoping Im more like my boss' son!!!!! :eek:

Thanks Chris..There is a little redness not much. The cut is on the top of my pinkie finger right below the nail where it bends. So, it only hurts when I bend it. I didn't notice any red streaks. Do you think I should go see the dr over this? or it will get better and it is a bug. I hate going when they look at me and seem to say and "why are you here?" Tylenol seems to help it. I think I will take a little break tomorrow from workouts. Especially since tomorrow is BM2. I need all my energy for that one. Also, my throat is always feeling dry. That makes me think it is a bug...

Oh Chris, what a huge bummer! I hope you are like whoever it was that felt better in two days!!!

Kathy, I don't know what to say about whether or not to go to the dr., but you sure don't want to mess around if it is infected. I got bit by a cat pretty badly once, and was going to do nothing about it, but the vet we took the cat to said "you need to get to a hospital right away." Apparently cat bites almost always cause infection because it's a puncture wound. Sure enough, it was infected and I had to be on IV antibiotics for a week! I hope yours is not infected -- hopefully you just have a bug. Definitely skip BM2 tomorrow!

I have plotted out my month of workouts and I'm really excited about it. After this week I'm going to do one week of FF's leg blast, then I'm doing a week that kathrynfit (or something close to that) suggested (that's also supposed to be great for the lower body), and then another week of FF's leg blast. Looks like fun. I'm going to blast these legs!
I am feeling a bit sore from my slim series week -- it's not the same as what Cathe causes, and I'm missing high intensity cardio, but it's been a good week so far. I think I'll go for a run on Sunday.

Cheers -- hope everyone who needs to be feeling better is doing that soon!

-Beth

Thanks Beth..I think I am going to see how I am tomorrow. I will be resting for sure!! Maybe that will help..
