Good morning girlies!
It's 430 am and I have to get ready for work blahhhhhhhh!!! I work all weekend:( I just noticed I posted the wrong date on yesterdays thread:confused: LOL My whole body is sore from the past 2 workouts! I might do abs and cardio today not sure what.
Off to get ready for work
Have a great day
Randi

Good Morning, Randi!

Appears you are the only early riser this morning!! Sounds like Cardio and abs is a good choice for you today, being so sore! Maybe a nice stretch later?

I wanted to sleep "in" (until 7am would have been nice), but my middle son decided he wanted to play LOUDLY with the cat at 6:15 am. Figures!

So I'm in a bit of a funk here. This whole toe thing is bringing me into a place I really don't want to be. Not depressed, per se, but feeling down enough, and "not caring", and basically, eating "crap". I ate greasy take-out for supper last night, and continued to eat off, Fluff, PB &: Choc. Chips .... way too much!

I need to PULL MYSELF TOGETHER!

Today I'm going to try to do some kind of cardio. I'm going to look for upper body punch sequences in KPC and KM. I'm missing it bad, and I need cardio, damnit!! And then I'll try to get in some lower body floor work (L&G's).

I did get a good suggestion from the NP yesterday at work. She suggested riding a bike to the park, instead of my runs, once my toe is a bit better. I'm excited about that, because it IS something I can do, and I CAN get to the park, even though I'm not running.

Today, Hanna is with us though. "She" is a tropical storm, I believe, and we're supposed to get the outmost fringes of it, but a lot of rain all day and overnight.

Vilma: I hope you survived the storm and didn't lose power!!

BBL...

Good Morning Randi, Chris and all who follow...

Randi I was up at 4:30 this morning. We left the house at 4:45 to go to DS hockey game at 6:00. It was a good game. They tied. 2-2. He also had a game last at 7:30 that they won. I really didn't want to get out of bed this morning since it was raining. Hope you have a good day at work.

Chris WTG on wanting to workout. I think most people would use it as an excuse not to workout. You need to step away from the FLUFF. :p No more fluffernutters for you. The past two days I haven't been to good with my eating either. I was really cranky yesterday and I don't know why. I ate a couple ice cream sandwiches. YUM I need to stick to core. Remember the 5 P's PRIOR PLANNING PREVENTS PUDGGY PEOPLE!!!! Now only if I applied that every day.

Today I did IMAX. That is a toughie.

Well we have one game down and two practices to go today. Gotta love hockey.

BBL

Good morning all!

Randi, I think all of us were up for some reason or another it seems! I hope your body finds the energy to work out.

Chris, if it matters, I ate a lot of bad greasy chinese food so "we're in it together" for at least needing to recover from it! Don't feel bad though -- I know how easy it can be but the only reason you're not working out is because of an evil bookshelf as opposed to being afraid that Cathe is personally mocking you on the TV. ;-)

Lori, that is something I miss about the east coast: hockey. How do you do IMAX after waking up so early?!?!

I'm not sure what I'm going to workout on today...my butt doesn't feel as broken so I can do some real lower body work, but my chest is still sore from GS Chest. Maybe just cardio today and another attempt at LowMax tomorrow.

So, I didn't get sleep because...get this, blog drama at 11p. My friend for over 15 years apparently got really offended with something that my DH wrote on her blog, didn't tell him that she was offended, and then revealed it while crying to me last night. I actually didn't think what he wrote was that bad (in fact I agreed with him), but I realized she was being more sensitive to it because of other things, but on top of that I had told him to not get into that discussion to start with. So, I'm aggravated with him for not trusting my judgment (and then not telling me about it), I'm aggravated with her for taking so personally that she's crying and then not bothering to me about it when it happened, and I'm just aggravated with blogs in general because seriously, when people have the ability to communicate more directly in stuff, why do you let sit with things on the Internet??? Now, I realize that maybe I'm just guilty of the same thing but sometimes, I just wish people would just act like mature adults...then again, there seems to have been some flame thread about Sarah Palin yesterday so I dunno...maybe its just inevitable.

I love the Internet but sometimes, it just gives me a headache.

Good morning everyone! I was up early (5:20), but not so early compared to some of you! Way to go on the early workouts! And why is it we seem to sync up on our trash eating?! :)

Chris, I was thinking about you as I did some punches this morning -- I hope you can figure out some sort of cardio to get your blood moving, and yes, the bike ride as soon as you can do it will be fun, too.

Hottie, there is hocky on the west coast! Yeah, yeah, I know, it's not the same, but, there is at least some! :) Also, I don't think that political thread yesterday got all that heated -- I haven't read all of it, but it certainly seemed like it could have gotten a bit worse. I know I had to mostly stay out of it for that reason! :)

Chris, I really agreed with your mom comment. In fact, one of our friends is a stay at home dad, and he has told us (somewhat resentfully) that when the kids get hurt, they go to his wife. When the kids are sick, they want his wife. But he is the one who feeds them, packs their lunches, dressed them when they were younger, etc. Isn't that wild?!

We are off to a soccer kick-off meeting this morning -- it's fun - -as part of it, everyone brings their old equipment, so everyone is trying to score free shoes the next size up that your child has grown into since last season. :) I hope all of your weekend worker bees have a good work day, and everyone else have fun.

HI everyone..

I am feeling alot better today. I am at about 90%. So, I decided to rest anther day in hopes that tomorrow I will be back to normal and ready for BM2. I need all my strength for that one..I am off now to the grocery store with big time rain here..

I love you guys!!

You've made me feel so much better, knowing I'm not the only one eating crazily and feeling a bit "off"!

So, I did this weird thing, I did KPC , Kicking & Punching Combo premix. You would have laughed! I sat in a chair , and PUNCHED. I did all the punch combos, and when it got to kicking , I'd do "punching bag" arms! Isn't that a riot? But I did sweat, and I got my HR up in the 140's (usually tough cardio is up to 160's for me). Not bad! And then I did Butts & Guts, Floorwork & Abs premix, where she repeats alot of the moves twice. My buttocks were on fire. So I definitely got some kind of ok workout in!

Lori:
Holy camolie on getting up so early and doing IMAX! I mentally could NOt
do that, never mind physically! That's awesome!

Must be exciting to watch the hockey games (after you wake up) and get wins in!!

I like the 5 P's! Never heard of that. I'm going to have to plan. Maybe I should type out my eating journal today BEFORE I eat, and keep to it...

Hottie: Sorry about your internet blog drama! I know, the internet can get pretty heated, where it's hard to show HOW you say things. Typed words can come across differently to different people.. I didn't think the Sarah Palin thread was THAT heated. I 've seen worse!

Beth
: I wanted to thank you yesterday too, for agreeing with me on that thread! I also know of someone in a similar situation. A nurse, that agreed to basically work 2 jobs (she picked up OT) and her DH stayed at home w/ the kids. The kids STILL came to her for everything, even when she was sleeping. They wanted "mommy". It makes me sad to think of Sarah Palin's baby with Down's missing out on "mommy time". I know she does what she can, but still. So anyway, thanks for understanding!!

Kathy: glad to hear you're better! But also giving your body that extra day to mend and not pushing it. !! I have to head out to the grocery store too. Which is going to suck, because I move at a snail's pace with my @*$&# toe! (and I can't give hubby a list, he'd get it all wrong... LOL!)

Will check back later...

Well, I got some cardio in. I forgot we're looking at homes today so I wanted to get something of a quick burn before we went out for it so HIS cardio only. Nice short energizing burn. If I have energy and time after we get back (and a couple hours in lab for the mind numbingly boring experiment that has managed NOT to get contaminated -- wohoo!), I'll put in a longer workout.

As for the SP thread, you're right it didn't get that bad (but all the Satan referencing was made my eyes roll a little bit) -- I just couldn't believe to see it after dealing with what I did last night (and now this morning!). But everyone in the Cathe Nation seems to be respectful for the most part...on other forums man...

Beth, I want my hockey so bad sometimes. I don't even realize when its hockey season anymore because it never really gets cold! There's really nothing down here it seems except for the ducks and most local games are football or basketball (love the first, bored quickly with the second). I only know of one ice rink in LA too (not that there aren't any, but only one I know of). Maybe I need to take a ride up the grapevine to see home hockey!

Kathy, I'm glad you're feeling better. Save up all your strength for BM2.

Off and will bbl...ecstatic that my butt isn't broken anymore...

Chris, awesome job on the workout! You must have been working those arms super hard to get your heart rate up there like that! And cool that you were able to do some floorwork, too.

Hottie, on the hockey.... the bay area seems to have a lot of midwest transplants, so at the local hockey rinks there seem to be plenty of pickup games and leagues (Scott McNealy of Sun used to be on a team that my husband played with sometimes). The Sharks practice on a rink other than where their games are, and there's a lot of hockey action going on there. Maybe you think roller hockey is blasphemy, but there's plenty of that around, too. And, while we're on the subject, I can tell you about my co-worker who plays underwater hockey -- talk about a crazy tough sport! You can google on youtube and see a little clip of it if you're interested.

Ok, my 9 year old is desperate for the second game of chess. My brain hurts, but I've got to do it.....

HI All

My DH won the coin toss on bringing Zack to hockey at 1:00 pm now I have the pleasure of bringing Matt to his 7:30pm practice its an 80 min practice poor guy he is the one that had to be up at 4:30 this morning. I would much rather stay home put on my jammies and watch a movie. Its been a cloudy rainy day. I guess its from Hannah.

Chris way to go on the workout.

Beth my sons play for the Mid State Jr Sharks team. We have an AHL team call the sharks and we have the same Logo as your Shark team. I'm not sure if that made any sense ??? LOL UNDERWATER HOCKEY????? I am going to have to look that one up.

Vilma how did you make out with the storm I hope everything is ok???

Lori

Lori, yes, that makes sense -- very cool. We love the Sharks. In fact, every year our school has a jogathon in the spring to make money and every year (that we've been there), the real Sharkey (mascot) has come and made an appearance, with the exception of last year because of the playoffs!

If you look up underwater hockey, be sure to watch some of the world game clips -- those show the action a little better. At one point we found a sunday magazine show with a long spot on it, but I can't find that clip right now. It's a crazy sport. I always thought water polo was tough, but this tops that. I know ice hockey is tough too.
