Good Morning
It's 3:40 am and I can't sleep! I might just go workout(maybe):-/ Today i have planned to do B&G's the whole thing. Usually I just do premixes. I hope STS comes out next month since my b-day is that month. (I doubt it though):( I am super excited for it! Today I go to a comm. College to take a placement test, since I haven't been to college for 7 years. So i guess that determines what classes I have to take first:confused:
I will be back later:)

Good Morning Randi! and all to follow!!

Today I decided to get my bloodwork done that I was supposed to have done LAST week. So I can't eat breakfast until it's over. I'll go right after the boys get off to school. Then come back, eat breakfast, have a later workout. On the rotation today is Rhythmic Step, which I would LOVE to do, but I'm not sure my toe/foot is ready for step. Instead I'll do a Turbo Jam... not sure which one. Maybe #1 OR Punch, Kick & Jam. ..

Randi: Wonder if you really did a workout in the wee hours of the AM? How did B&G go? Good luck on your placement test today!!

Ivy: Sounds like you had a crazy day yesterday! Hope it's calmer for you today. I know you're working though...

Joanne:
thinking about you and Caitlyn today!!! Praying for an uncomplicated surgery and easy recovery!! (((hugs)))

Off to get my crazy boys on the bus....

Hey Everyone! I did firm it up this morning -- a slim series easy version of butt & guts, you might say. My tush really felt it!! Randi, I don't know how you do those very early mornings! Yes, good luck on the test!

Vilma, how are you feeling? Better, I hope!!

Chris, just take it easy with that toe.... I know we keep saying that. I hope you have some sort of fun workout.

Joanne, I know you're not on the computer today, but I'm thinking about Caitlyn and all of you.

Have a great day everyone!

-Beth

HI everyone...

Checking in today with 60 minutes on my inlaws treadmill and stretch max #1..It was great. I used my ipod and running did go by much faster with songs!!!

Gotta go see what kind of trouble the kids are getting into. Have a great day. I am hoping to do KPC tomorrow..

Good morning!!

So yesterday was such a funny little mess. After I had decided to leave early, I realized I misplaced my keys and spent an hour running around my building to find them. Then I got to my car to discover a huge spider had decided to weave a magnificently huge web in the drivers seat (I keep my car really clean so it must have flown in when I had the door open)...oh I hate spiders (I know how useful they are, I still don't like them). Then I came home to find the house was over 80 degrees but I wanted to really workout so I cranked the AC. In the meantime, I tried to do LaundryMax but found we had no quarters for the machine so instead I did KitchenMax and I ate an early dinner. DH came home where I told HIM to do LaundryMax because he finally brought home the quarters and then I did Low Max, which I was very proud of finishing though to be truthful the last blast probably didn't look all that good because my legs were shot at that point. Then as I took the final round of LaundryMax, DH did 4DS Kickbox. So, a funny little day.

Ah, personal time..

Randi -- were you up because of the exam? I know how that gets. It took me some adjusting to get back into the school mentality and I only took a year off to work and pay for then fiance's grad school. But I think its awesome that you're going back. I hope you had a good workout and if not, I hope you had a good rest and exam. Oh and from the post yesterday, I work on molecular switches in aging. But currently, I work on wasting my time by letting everything get contaminated. :)

Chris -- is the toe getting better? I hope you can get your workouts in but please take care of the toe. I have to constantly get my fasting glucose so I'm used to not eating before bloodwork is drawn thing too. It can be annoying sometimes. I hope you can get everything.

Beth -- this is too funny: so as I was doing Low Max yesterday at one point I guess I muttered to myself, "how the hell does Beth do this?" probably when I thought the lactic acid was going to burst out of my quads. So at the end of the workout, DH asked me, "So, who's Beth and she can do that workout easily???" On another note, do you like butts and guts? I have to admit that I can barely do any of Cathe's core/abs work. I'm trying, and I'm going to make a more concerted effort but sometimes I think maybe I need to go to some beginning workouts for it (if anyone has any advice that would be great).

Kathy -- its so good to hear form you. Are you having fun with your inlaws? That's really cool that your inlaws have a TM and you can still get your workouts on.

Ivy -- I actually thought of you during C&W twice. The first time was during the second cardio combo where she asks us to do an insole on the step and then one to the back and followed by a rhythmic L. But when I came back to the step after the second insole, instead of starting to do a rhythmic L, I started to do a reverse hop turn like the third combo of BM2! I realized I was making a mistake halfway through the turn and I somehow managed to get right back into the tempo with some weird movement (I imagine I looked very funny), but I laughed at myself. As for buttercup -- I was HOPING that song would get into my head because I have that Ludo song "Love me Dead" stuck in my head for the last day or two. It didn't replace it. :-(

So, my husband and I are trying to wake up earlier so we can workout before we go to work and we made some headway in that we sorta woke up but stayed in bed. Little by little. I'm going to head off to the school gym after I take care of some lab stuff and then I'm back at the bench for several hours straight. Probably just a nice long low intensity workout. My hope is to do 4DS HIS tonight but we'll see.

I hope all of you have a good day and Joanne, we're all thinking about you.

Hottie, you are too funny! I do like butts & guts quite a bit, and I originally had it scheduled for today, but realized that I had it sandwiched between imax extreme and either viper or gauntlet (I can't remember which now), and decided that might be a bit much, so I swapped it out. I also struggle with the core work. You know, before I had kids, I think I did that sucking in of the gut all the time without thinking about it. After I had the first kid, I tried to suck it in, and I just couldn't, and I think I've never really worked on my core very hard for a very long time after that. Now it's 9-1/2 years later, and I am trying. I'll never have Cathe's core strength -- I don't kid myself there, but I do try to make improvements and lately I'm trying to remember to suck it in all the time just because I know that helps. In the meantime, yes, this month I am frying my lower body, and it definitely feels it. I feel like I have the "broken butt" problem. Honestly, big knots in there... I'm stretching, foam rollering, sitting on hard balls whenever I can. Sheesh, how does that sound?! :)

Randi, my birthday is also next month! I've given up on getting STS any time soon. Still contemplating canceling. I really can't make up my mind. Mostly I think it's not really going to be my cup of tea, but I also think I would drive myself crazy wanting it once I hear everyone talking about how great it is.

Ok, I've *got* to do some work finally, after being at home with DS #2 for three days!

-Beth

Hi all

Hope everyone had a good workout. It was nice to see that Kathy posted. HI I hope you are having fun in PA. WTG getting your workout!!

Chris how is that toe of yours? I don't like getting bld taken. I have to look the other way. I can't even look at the lab person.:rolleyes::eek:. Once they are done I can look at them.

Making a mental note that Randi and Beth's bday are next month.;)

Hottie I hate spiders:eek:. Thats the one insect that I am afraid of. I almost passed out from one that was on my shoulder.:eek: Have fun with 4ds his.

I did B&G today. I also went to WW and I am down another .8. Slow and steady I guess. ;) I am 4 pounds away from goal.:D

Joanne praying for you, Caitlyn and DRs.

Lori

Hey what's up!!
I got up at 3 and...went back to bed, haha! I did buts and gutts all the way through but no ab work, will do that tomorrow.
Lori, I still think B&G's is the hardest leg workout! I'm already sore! What about you? That is sweet you're thinking of our b day next month:) Wait a go on WW!
Beth what day is your b-day mine is the 18th. Hang in there on waiting for the STS program:) You're right everyone will be talking about it, and then you'll want it hehehe:) I just have serious ants in my pants!
Hottie I still think your job is cool!! This test is just a placement test on where they're going to put me. I am nervous because it's been almost 7 years since i've been in school!
JOanne thinking about you;)
Chris sorry i'm nosey but what's the blood work for?
Kathy wait a go on the TM Music is such a motivator!

Good afternoon everyone!

Today I did Step Fit from Cardio Hits and it was pretty fun. I worked today and it was nice with the kids too.

Randi: WTG on B&G and I hope you did well on your placement test today! It’s been 3 yrs since I haven’t gone to college and I don’t think I will be going for a WHILE either. I’ll have to wait another 3-4 years.

Chris: I LOVE RS!! Yea, it’s better for you to just do a TJ workout. I hope your toe heals completely soon so you can get back to steppingJ. Today is going to be much calmer, so I’m happy about that. Yesterday was super busy for me. Next week is another tough busy week!

Joanne: I’m praying for Caitlyn. I pray that everything goes smooth in her surgery and has an easy and good recovery.

Beth: WTG on your workout! My butt is sore from yesterday’s GSL.

Kathy: WTG on your TM run! I hope you are having a great time over there! J

Hottie: Creepy!! I hate spiders too! I had a web inside my car too once and I was freaking out wondering if the spider was around somewhere inside my car. WTG on your workout!! I did Laundry Max too yesterday, and a lot of it, lol. I also have made some mistakes on the step with other workouts from Cathe, like today on Step Fit, I did something that she does on another DVD, lol. I hope you enjoy your workout tonight! J I actually have “Free Falling” song stuck in my head since my husband’s friend’s wife sky dived the other day and this song is on her video. This is the link to her sky diving incase you all want to see it J http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dY_QA_b_ek

Lori: WTG on B&G today! WOOHOO!!! Congrats on your .8 loss, that’s WONDERFUL!! Every little bit counts. You’re so close to your goal and that’s great!!! WTG!!!

Well everyone, it’s time to cookmax around here. I’m looking forward to watching tv tonight and relax. Last night I didn’t get a good sleep so I hope to get a good sleep tonight. I hope you all have a great day! I’ll BB tomorrow! WOOHOO! Tomorrow I have NOTHING to do, but stay home! Oh and workout!! J

Had my bloodwork done, and then, with my growling stomach, ran to Wally World (I was so close) and got my perscription and then ran home for my breakfast & workout!!!

So ended up doing Turbo Jam: Punch, Kick & Jam. I think I like this workout's music the best!! I really get into it, plus the copiera (sp?) is fun. I like "grabbing someone and throwing them down"! I did just about everything, again, until it got to the "TURBO" section (kind of like an interval), and I couldn't put my all into it, because of my toe. I'm doing sooooo much better with my toe. I still keep it taped (for a month they said). It hurts on occasion all by itself, but I'm able to put a sneaker on (feels tight, but ok). I prefer to wear my crocs! There's still a nasty bruise though. And my toe itself it kind of swollen. And when I touch it, it kind of "flops". Weird?

Beth: I've always been curious about the Slim Series. Do you like it? That's one BeachBody series I don't have ANYthing from. Sounds like a good choice for today!! I feel the same way about STS. That if I cancel (because I'm really growing UNinfatuated with it), I'll be kicking myself, when everyone talks about how AMAZING it is. So I won't. Heyyy..which rotation did you end up doing this month that your butt is getting kicked? I forgot which one!

Hottie: what a crazy day you had yesterday! All those "MAX"es. Wow. Spiders used to scare the bejeesus out of me, now I'm ok, as long as they're small and not really UGLY! . As far as Ab/Core work, I do feel like you have to work your way up to Cathe's. One OLD video I had which was a good one, because the workouts were short, was The Firms: 5-Day Abs. It was funny, because they have this HOT guy on it, and he only "announces" the workouts. Some chick does the work. Anyway, it's older and I bet you could get it for dirt cheap. Here's an Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Firm-5-Day-Abs/dp/B00005T331/ref=pd_sim_v_6

Kathy: Glad you checked in! WTG on getting a workout in while visiting!!! That's great!!

Lori:
on the loss this week!!! That's awesome! Are you still doing Core? I just talked to my sister today, who said she's at a roadblock with Flex, and I talked her into starting Core! B&G is KILLER! (but I love it!!!) Good workout today! I'm actually ok for getting blood taken. I have a bigASS vein, i never even feel the needle go in. In fact, I have a lot of big veins... I'm a phlebotomists dream!

Randi: YES! B&G is a TOUGH workout. But I also love how she goes into all different leg work, to mix things up. So some are easier than others. Oh, you can be nosey. I had to have my thyroid levels checked to make sure my Synthroid is at a good dose. (I have hypothyroidism... for YEARS!). I also had some kind of titer drawn for work to see if I need a mumps/rubella booster for work. Which I don't think I'd get, even if i did...

Off I go to start some Chicken Cacciatore , w/ chicken thighs. Sometimes I am so in the mood for thighs... my mouth is watering at the thought!

P.S. Beth! I at you "sitting on hard balls whenever you can"

Hi All

Seems you all have had good workouts today.

I ended up taking a rest day as I had to take oldest DD to the doctor due to lymph nodes so enlarged they felt like golf balls :( she's on antibiotics now but if they don't go down she'll be needing surgery to remove them so I hope the antibiotic works and does its job. My poor baby is in alot of discomfort :( and she has to work tonight and since she's a Crew Leader there is no one to cover for her tonight :(

My back is still hurting I'm thinking it may be due to my ovulating as I have cramps but I till ya I need to get healthy I'm afraid I'll lose my strength gains and just my overall conditioning.

I'm also angry at the man at the moment as while I was out taking care of things he made a big ol mess in my kitchen making meat pies and used the meat I had set aside for dinner and never put it away after he cooked it; so its useless and I refuse to clean up after him or use that meat now for dinner - I mean really there is even flour on my freaking floor! Ugh its his day off and where is he now? Sleeping ! Arghhh!

Sorry for venting

Randi How did the placement test go? Kudos to you for going and doing that for yourself :)

Chris That turbo Jam sounds like fun, who makes that? Glad your toe is doing well.

Beth I'm doing the best I can I didn't even get a chance to try to workout although my back hurts like heck but I'm going to try to keep up with my rotation.

Kathy WTG on keeping w/ your workouts while on vacation - Wow you guys sure vacay alot lol

Hottie - Oy about the spider I don't like them at all esp. after one bit my son and dissolved the tissue on his hand which had to have surgery to allow normal healthy skin to grow.

Lori Congrats on your lose your almost there and yes slow & steady wins that race - actually that was my mantra when I was on WW for weight lose.

Joanne Sending you positive vibes on a quick recovery for your lil girl and that all is going as smoothly as possible. Big Hugs to you!

Thanks everyone...

Vilma: Hope you are feeling better soon!! We have been doing alot of travel huh!! LOL It is unusal for us. We usually don't go anywhere. But, hubby has to travel a little for work. So, we have been tagging along when we can...Gotta love that!!..I am just happy to be able to workout this time...

Joanne: I am thinking about you and Caitlyn too. Sending prayers to you..

Hottie: Wow, what a tough day! I am not a fan of spiders either. But, I hate snakes more!! I have a hard time getting up too early to workout. I am a midmorning exerciser if at all possible. Or I do it around dinnertime...How did you experiment go that you had to redue? I don't remember if I saw a post about that...I missed a few while I have been busy packing and travelling..

Lori: Yes, we are having a good time. HUbby and I had a date night tonight. We did some shopping and had dinner. The kids are at my sister in laws for a sleep over tonight..Great job on the weight loss!!

Randi: Wow, you are an early riser!! Way to go on B&G..I did that one yesterday and my butt was feeling it today!!

Ivy: Those old step workouts are tough aren't they? I like to throw them in at times..

Chris: poor toe...Hope it heals soon!! Are you still dying to get cardio in like step? It must be hard to do any workouts with the toe. So, great job getting what you can in!!

Hey Beth and everyone else!!!

I will try to get back on tomorrow. Thanks for all the encouragement ladies. I love coming on here and talking with you. Great motivation!!!

I like spiders! Ok, I don't like the thought of them crawling around me, but for the most part when I see them, I think about them eating other bugs! And how can you not think of Charlotte, afterall? :)

Slim Series.... I do like it -- it's not nearly as intense/hard as Cathe, but it kind of works you in a different way and it's a good break from Cathe. My favorite SS is the one most people hate, because it's an hour and 20 minutes and it is the hardest one, but it was the one where I finally felt like I got a good hard workout in. I haven't had them very long, so I may get sick of them, but for now I feel like they will be good to mix in with Cathe here and there.

I'm doing a combination of fitness freak's leg blast and a week of a rotation that kathrynfit, I think is the login, suggested, which also has a lot of lower body work. I am seeing good results -- I read a bit about "freestyle" training where you work your lower body every day and I've been trying to do that. My clothes are feeling looser...... I've also upped my protein intake, and that's helping me to stick to a cleaner intake altogether, so that's helped, too, of course. I do wonder if all this protein is really good for us in the long run, but boy, anything that helps me stay away from sweets is a good thing in some realm. :)

Off to imagine what I'm cooking for dinner..... Thursdays are strange cause we're home a bit late because of piano lessons.

-Beth
