Selling Imax3

If this is not allowed I am sooo sorry, I was going to put it on Ebay though and thought that one of you might want it. I purchaes the Hardcore set and tried to do Imax3 1 time and there is no way that I can get the coreography down, it is in perfect condition if anyone is interested please let me know.
THank you :)
Again I am sorry if I offended anyone or broke the rules.

I don't know if any rules have been broken but if I were you I'd keep it. I had IMAX2 for at least a year before I finally did the whole thing. I tried it once when I first got it and for some silly reason I couldn't get into it. I tried it again after I found this forum where everyone kept saying how much they loved it. IMAX2 is ranked in my top 5 favorite workouts.

We're not allowed to sell workouts on the forums, but really you shuold keep it. You WILL get the choreography. It took me a long time too. but it's so worth it!!!! I promise you'll love it.

I second Shelley. Hold on to it & give it some time & thought. I have seen a few women who have regretted getting rid of something they have come to enjoy later. Really, it is not as tricky as you think...I promise!

I had to sell all my Firms a long time ago and now I regret it. What is that old saying:" If at first you don't succeed, try , try again.":D

I agree, you should keep it. I love IMAX 2 so much that I was sure I would feel the exact same way about IMAX 3. Well the first couple times I tried it I just couldn't get into it, so I put off doing it. I finally put it into a 4 week rotation I was doing and MADE myself do it. Now I really enjoy it. Give it some time. I've had a couple Cathe workouts that have taken a little time to grow on me, but they all eventually have.:7

I've done IMAX 3 3-4 times and haven't yet gotten it down yet. I just keep moving and keep trying because I know I will eventually "get it". Even without doing it right, my heart rate monitor says I'm burning 300 calories!

Beside, all the "money moves" are very basic...plyo's, jacks, tuck jumps, etc.

I'd never sell mine, you'd have to pry it out of my cold, dead hand!

Why not keep trying??:)

Never, EVER get rid of a Cathe workout. Just because you can't get ahold of the choreography of this one does NOT mean it doesn't have a place in your program. Just shoot for the blast-only premix if you like.

When I first bought Body Max, along with Interval Max, I did Interval Max a lot and then thought Body Max might be a tad too light, so I got rid of it. And I bought Circuit Max, did it once and also found the choreo a bit twirly, and ALMOST got rid of it.

Then - I borrowed B-max, rediscovered the Power Circuit segment and had to buy it again. Then THEN, I tried Circuit Max again, going strictly to barbell leg circuits rather than the compound stuff - and now if I don't do C-Max at least 2-3 times per month I get the palsy.

Keep it. I promise you you'll find a use for it.

I agree with A-Jock, never sell a Cathe w/o. Rhythmic Step is still giving me fits but I'd never get rid of it. One of these days something is going to click when I do that w/o. Just something else to work for, another goal to achieve, and that is what it is all about.

I still screw up on the choreography because I change around my workouts so much it may be 2-4 weeks before I pick it up again. It is frustrating to screw up but like Cathe told Nadine during her American Idol routine when she was about to go blank "Don't STOP!" Keep moving!

It's true that it can be hard to "get" cathe choreography after only one try. Try to be patient and try it a few more times to see if it gets more enjoyable.

However, you should never feel obliged to keep any workout, by any instructor, if you feel in your heart of hearts that it is not for you.

Tere is no law that says you cannot sell a Cathe DVD or VHS. I have sold some and will soon sell others becasue, they are just not me and I never do them and never will. I know myself, I know what I like and what I have absolutely no time for. You know yourself, so go ahead and sell if you find Imax 3 is not your cup of tea.

If selling makes cash available for other purchases higher up on your list of priorities, get rid of it.

You will certainly get takers if you sell on ebay.

They have to be right- never sell a Cathe workout. They seem pretty hard to come by, especially on ebay. Someone will snap it up and then you might regret it.
That being said, I live for someone selling a Cathe workout on ebay- it's one of my only shots! I somehow can justify an ebay purchase easier than cathe.com. Except I've only gotten 2 on ebay... and I own 8 now...
Keep at it!

I agree with everyone else. Keep it! Step workouts are always tough at first when you are learning the steps but it gets better and easier every time you do it. I remember with Rhythmic Step I dreaded it because I thought there is no way I can do it but I kept practicing and adding it in every two to three weeks and eventually got it down. It is now one of my favorite Cathe workouts.

Try breaking it down, do only the first five intervals a couple of times until you get it down then do the last five a few times. Eventually you'll get it.

It's worth keeping - it too is now one of my favorites!

What I have seen in my own life is that the more familiar I became with Cathe the better it got. My first series was Intensity and I was clumsy and all over the place. What I began to do was to try only a segment at a time and stop. Repeat one section a couple of times until I got it and pop it out of the player. (I would usually finish a workout with someting like Muscle Endurance to feel like I actually worked out!) Then add on a section the next time. The first section is great and work on the next one. I know this may sound silly but for me it worked. Take bite sized pieces rather that try to gobble down the whole thing. You will see that you can do it!!

I an not particularly gifted when it comes to cardio. I will lift weights until the cows come home, but cardio is a challenge. This was a great way to build up in that area as well.

I might consider putting up for trade of the video fitness forum so you can get another cathe of equal value you would be more interested in. I did it and have not regreted getting rid of the complicated coreography but I still cant get it. Just another suggestion if you want something you'll be more excited to use. Good luck with whatever you decide.

If it's just not for you, and you can't get into it, or forsee liking it in the future, put it up on Ebay. Unlike others who have posted, I don't consider ANY workout priceless, and gladly get rid of those that don't suit me, even Cathe's (I've gotten rid of Kick Max, Stretch Max, HC Extreme, CTX with no qualms). There's no use keeping a workout that you'll never use, and getting some of your money back on it will allow you to buy others that suite you better.

(Though I will admit that I got rid of IMAX2 long ago, and just recently reaquired it, after figuring out that I can modify (by modifying IMAX3) and enjoy it that way (I HATE pivot moves, and decided to remove as many as I can from all my workouts---I like them much better now).

Though trying IMAX3 ONE TIME really isn't a fair trial of it, especially since it's the choreo that threw you off. I never get all the choreography down the first time out--85% of Cathe's choreo,usually-- and sometimes find that if I go back to a workout when I'm in a different mood, I like it better. Preview IMAX3 before trying it out one more time. Decide whether you just don't like it, or if maybe working up to doing it would be a good challenge for you, THEN decide whether you want to get rid of it or not.

You only tried it once? Don't give up! It's a great workout. I did it Wednesday morning and just love it. There are a couple of the step routines that I have trouble with, but really - just fake it a little. It's not like you'll be sacrificing any of your heartrate.

And I agree about regretting selling something because you think you'll never use it. I gave my BIL all of my Metallica CDs because I thought I was over my "metal head" phase. I am...but Metallica is always good to have around. Boy do I regret doing that. But I'd never tell him that.
