Self tanners & glycolic acid

OK, I'm starting to get sunspots on my face from all the sun exposure throughout the years. I haven't tanned my face for years & use a self tanner a couple of times a week.

So I want to start using some of those lightening creams (which I believe have glycolic acid as the main ingredient) for the sunspots, but I'm wondering if I can use them w/self tanners? Especially w/summer coming, I don't want to stop using the self tanner........if I use both will my skin look spotty & even more discolored? Is there a certain way to use them (e.g. using the lightener in the morning & the self tanner at night) so that my skin can still look relatively even?

Any input would be much appreciated! :)

Crap, I am right there with ya! I have been using the NuDerm by Obagi and it got rid of all my sunspots, along with a few IPL laser treatments. I still use the retin A twice a week, but notice if I apply sunless tanner, it takes it all off. My solution? Bronzing powder, or get that great product by Fresh, forgot what its called, but its for the face and imparts a sunny glow! Good luck, I am in the same boat as you are.
